will Grand Prix GTP headers fit 2000 SSEI!

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

will Grand Prix GTP headers fit 2000 SSEI!

Post by idahosteve »

I'm thinking about replacing my exhaust system as a beginning on souping up my 2000 SSEI. There are headers available for GTPs aplenty, but few, if any, for the Bonnie. Are they interchangeable??

Thanks,
IdahoSteve

Mostly yes, but it depends on the set. You might have to have a little custom work on some of the sets, especially the cheaper ones (SpeeDaddy, SSAC).

And you will need the w-body dipstick for the transmission.

I put speed daddy headers on mine a couple months ago, and the instal went amazingly smooth. The headers fit perfect, the only thing I had to do was get a little creative with the torch and bend the trans dipstick tube to where I wanted it. (Comes up between Cyl 4 and 6). If you end up buying the Speed Daddies, I would cut off the flex pipe and put a new one on right away.
