How's the possibility of replacing front struts and getting an alignment during the meet?

Air tools are here, struts go fast. You'll need to rent a spring compressor 5 blocks away at Autozone (I don't have a set).JMH1950 wrote:How's the possibility of replacing front struts and getting an alignment during the meet?
Alignment is 4 blocks away, about 80 bucks for a 4-wheel.

The Grizz needs a new pair of rubber boots too.
I love the tire prices in Corvallis.......and no tax.
They can't seem to be able to find a 225 60 ZR 16 tire up in these parts.
The tires that are on now are Dunlop 5000's.
They should last up to year end but there isn't much tread on them for winter driving. Figure if he puts the new ones on the front, it will be safer and better traction.
They want $230. for a VR rated tire Michelin Pilot.

Paul, he's limited to 128mph. Put H rated all-seasons on that car. My Kumho Ecsta's would be a FINE choice for that car. GREAT summer and winter grip in all conditions. They're at Beggs, not Les Schwab. And they're cheaper than the Toyo's at Schwab. The Kumho's at Beggs (the guys that do my slicks for me) are probably under 500 on the car. I can get a quote if you like.2000Silverbullet wrote:The Grizz needs a new pair of rubber boots too.

H rated are good to 130 mph which should be enough. I would prefer a V rated tire because they are not much more and provide better construction and performance.
Yes please get a quote for them Bill.

Kumho Ecsta ASX (look up the ratings on tirerack: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... =Ecsta+ASX
225/60-16
VR rated: $475 on the car driving out. (Beggs on 9th street, 10 blocks from my house) Price subject to slight changes due to fuel prices/shipping/freight.
(side note, they'd like all of us to swing in for a little photoshoot sometime during the meet, Zilla's burnout poster is already up on the wall in their office/showroom)
REMEMBER FOLKS, THERE IS NO SALES TAX IN OREGON.

If necessary, this can be driven over. So we can still use the 'Shadd/Jeep' spot, as well as driverjohn's detailing spot by the sidewalk.

Looks like four wide will be no problem.
The last pic, those shrubs that stick out need to be cut back a bit. I broke my left rear Jeep mudflap when it caught one backing up during the fireworks war last October.
