Awesome. I've tried in the past to org some go-carting into our Westcoast Meets but the outdoor track in Oregon is way too expensive (and fast
) for most members. Your indoor track looks great and affordable. That would definitely be a drawing card for me to attend in the future!

Re: The official Michigan Meet pic thread!
Indoor kart racing is pretty cool. WE have Chicago Indoor racing here, but I find their courses to be too small to stretch out the cars in order to pass. The only way to do so, is to do it in corners, and since the course was so tight, you end up making a mess with the other cars, which then, the track official "black flags" you for a lap. Not that I have ANY experience with that.

Did you happen to go to the Xtreme Kart Racing track in Mt. Morris?? I know the owner of that place...I have his house listed. He lives in Clio.
If you did go to Mt. Morris, wish I would have known....would have met you up there! Only 20 minutes from my house.

Yeah, as well as the several other exit smoke shows over the weekend. I've got many pictures as well, but I'll try to not post too many repeats. But I've still got some unpacking, sorting and cleaning to do yet. We got back home at 5am this morning, what a drive.BlackHawk99 wrote:You gonna post it?!?!WhiteArrow3800 wrote: ...Actually your T/A is in a couple shots on my camera, as well as a vid of your burnout when you left.
My brother, Briana and I all definitely have to give a Great-Big-HUGE Thanks to Ryan and Steph for hosting this for the week. It was another amazing meet, awesome food, detailing tips and just BS'ing in general. And thanks to everyone that was able to come out, it was great to see those of you I had met before again, and great to meet some for the first time! This is definitely a meet I will never forget...except for Saturday night...which I don't recall completely...but the rest I will never forget!

You came to Clio to race go karts, or is that a different indoor track?
If it's Clio I was one of the first to drive on the track (before it opened to the public),
and it used to be a TG & Y store.

Re: The official Michigan Meet pic thread!
Alright, here's quite a few more pics of the fun! Looks like I've got 466 pictures, but a lot are going to be same pictures as posted so I'm not going to post everything I've got.
Began washing the car minutes after arriving at noon Friday:

Jerry, Liz, Kyle & Darrel arrive a few hours later:

We just chill the rest of the afternoon:

Saturday morning:

I can't get over those new wheels!

...Or the nicely painted bumper covers

More arrivals:

Chris had only stopped by for a little while as well, but he gave us a little show on his way out!

Mark could only stay for a few minutes but I did catch the T/A before he left!

Then we went on a short cruise to the auto parts store and Oh Boy those G8's are a boatload of fun to ride in!

Hey Jerry!

We got back to find Jovan, Ryan and Tracy's gang had arrived!

Jerry replaced some very dust pads with some not so dusty pads:

I was driving during our cruise so I didn't get but a couple shots. Brennan might have some on his camera though...

And then the Bonneville Beer Pong commences! And my pictures get worse and worse as the night progresses...
First matchup: Ryan and Darrel vs Heather and Linda

Then Brennan and Briana step up:

Oh, hey Jerry!

What's up?

Hey Jerry! (I found that apparently I liked taking pictures of Jerry that night.)

Gotcha again!

Ryan and Darrel dominated the table that night:

At some point I played with Steph and I had to drink all the cups.
Tracy & Peter:

Oh Hey Jerry gotcha with Jovan this time!

And by now, I don't recall much of the rest. And the blurred pictures can probably show that.

Tracy:

Don't know what happened here, but Ryan's expression is hilarious!

I do remember playing another game with Justin on the right:

Dancing:

Peter!

Oh Hey, I think Jerry caught me this time.

Don't know how I did this one but there's me. And probably shortly after this my night came to an end.

And that night resulted in a very slow start to our Track Day. I thought it was funny that Jovan had left to go home a few minutes before we did to go to the track. We caught up to him at McDonald's. And again we said our goodbyes and he left a few minutes ahead of us. On our way to the track I think I we had caught him at a light (Unless there was another SBM Bonnie around). But then we found him at the track too. He eventually headed home before they announced the track was closed. We met up with Radomir there, he was able to make a couple runs before the rain.
And here's pretty much the only picture I took at the track on Sunday, and I think the picture shows exactly why:

But Jerry had a cool idea to get some rolling/moving pictures of the cars, so we set out.
Riding with Radomir in the SLO:

Jerry hanging out the window:

Ryan wanted a burnout vid as well. But my camera didn't want to focus on it, but you'll still get the idea:

For the rest of the rolling shots we have to wait for Jerry. They are amazing!
Headed back to Ryan's place and hung around for a while, all of us were still pretty bummed about the rain out.
Chris gave us another smoke show:

Peter tried to as well but I think TC was left on? Jerry caught some smoke rollin' from the G8's wheels earlier though that he has yet to post.

More rubber:

Then we headed over to Chris' place for the "beerpongfogmachinelaser-ing" party! These shots are right outside his house.

The view across the street was really cool. I think Jerry described it well by saying it could be one of the default desktop backrgounds on Windows. The camera just didn't capture it exactly as it looked in person!

Most of these didn't come out well due to the dark setting and the fog, but it was a super great time!

Monday came and we had a few projects going on.
Ryan started out by trying out a Vinyl/Fabric paint on some GP seats he picked up for the Cutlass. Seems to work well, but it has to go on fairly heavy to cover everything.

Radomir and Ryan were going after some wiring issues on the SLO and getting the subs and amps hooked up too?

Jerry and Liz left that morning as well. One last picture of Jerry!

Kyle was claybaring his G8 and stopping every now and then to tune my SSEi:

Just a shot I thought looked cool:

Ryan then went after tinting the '03 tails, which turned out awesome even before wetsending and polishing!

Me: Hey Ryan, those look sweeet!!

Ryan: Hey you wanna swap and see if you like it?
Me: Meh, not a huge fan of tinted lights on a white car, but alright let's just see...

Me:

Moved on to my hazed headlight.
Before:

Wetsanded:

Polishing:

Done:

Still has a very very small amount of yellowing, but you really have to look to notice.

Yin-Yang

Wednesday morning:

We went to the Xtream Gokarting place and Ryan forgot his shoes so he had to run down to the dollar store to pick up these sweet racing shoes!

Didn't have to many pics here though.

Radomir:

Me:

Brennan:

Briana:

Somewhere between go karting and the track:

Track time!
Radomir and Ryan lining up:

Radomir had to leave from the track and managed to make a few runs and pack up and head out before my car was prepared so that while he was still with us he could say he had the quickest Bonneville still, haha.
The '01 ran 14.7's and 14.8's on hotlaps, not my best, but decent for being on the stock pulley. Brennan making a pass in mine:

Ryan vs Steph

Brennan vs Ryan:

Thursday morning got all washed up again and polished the headlights once more and the tail lights then packed to go home:

Stopped by Intense on the way back and met up with Brian for dinner:

And finally a couple shots I grabbed at a rest stop somewhere in WV

I'll have my brother post what he has. He got a bunch of video of the track and a few other shots too.
