Hello from PHX

Post by SSEi-Ei-O »

Hey guys and gals I have a 00 Galaxy Silver SSEi that has been in the family since mile 111. My mom purchased it from a dealer and through circumstances needed to sell it. I was driving a 2 dr honda accord and loved the car so much I bought it from here. So far it has 151k and I have done some modding to it including Intense stage 1. I recently was going to put 1.9 y/t's on and found out that I needed some head work. The valves weren't sealing well enough to hold the valve up during removal of the springs and valve locks. I decided to rework the engine. Went back with XP cam from ZZP and some custom heads thanks to PDXGTP (he knows a guy). I just got the car back and loving it. I do need to drop down a few pulley sizes and put some headers on. So far my tranny has held out. I don't think that will be the case too much longer. I am a member of several other 3800 and 231 ci forums. I also own an 84 T type. Here are a few pictures...Enjoy.

But everyone wants an old turbo Buick. ;) They are the original bad-ass.

Well sort of. The '84 Turbo Regal isn't the one everyone wants. 84-85's weren't intercooled and had a smaller much more inefficient turbo. 86-87 are the ones people spend the dough on.

Well a lot of parts and not actually easy, but it has been done and almost everyone that does says they should have sold the hot air car instead of converting.

Well, those that can't tell the difference between an 84 and an 87 without looking under the hood don't need to know... :)
