Guys,
i did an UIM LIM a few weeks ago, along with all required and recommended parts from the sites guideline. No problems, however I recently got 2 codes- Autozone scanned it and the codes were:
P0401 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected
P0128 Coolant Thermostat Malfunction
Car now stumbles and runs erratic, but seems to idle fine. Can anyone make a suggestion? I do have a 2001 car to swap some parts around on for diagnosis.
Car does have 225,000 on it, but has been pretty well maintained. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

What does the temp gauge do? Go too high, or does it take too long to get warm?

Check the pipe going to the EGR on the driver's side of the motor. Make sure it didn't get cracked or otherwise damaged during the work.

Re: 2001 Bonneville Engine Codes
It is slow on warm up and I am planning on changing the t-stat. Long story but could not get one when finishing up on the intake work. Does get to 195 ish when operating at our recent morn/eve temps of 30 degrees or so. I was very careful around the EGR piping when wrenching and just checked and it appears fine. I do have a brand new AC Delco EGR on my kitchen counter but dont really want to change unless neccesary.

EGR on Kitchen Counter? Yea...you've been hanging around us too much already.
Change that T-stat and see where you get especially if you feel it's taking a long time to warm up...
As far as the EGR...There can be small cuts in the pipe that can even cause an issue that you'll barely see...

Re: 2001 Bonneville Engine Codes
huh, bad MAP sensor. And new plug wires. And a new t-stat.
Anyone have a recommendation on a non-oem replacement MAP?
