Wow, for that price, it might just be worth the risk.

I have something similar for the low beams and fog lights and I love them. I have had them in since some time in November and I have not had anybody flash me for them being too bright and I can see much better at night. I have 10k lights but I would recommend 6k for the best light output and to stay away from looking to much like a ricer. I did 6k in my wifes car and will be changing mine out this spring. If you have read any of the threads about the GXP fog lights going out all the time changing them to HID's fixed that problem for me. Below is a link to the guy I bought mine from on eBay. He sent me a preferred customer link with a user name and password with pretty good prices. Here is it but please don't share it off this forum. He has them for $42 with free shipping on this site with a 2 year warranty.

DDM Tuning has their house brand HID kits with a lifetime warranty for $30 plus shipping right now. That's less than a pair of SilverStar bulbs. I'd recommend the 4500k or 5000k color for closest to OEM appearance.

Or there's the $15 9005 swap. That's much less likely to get pulled over than a blue-tinted HID kit.

Remember, headlight upgrades are about putting lots of light on the road without blinding other drivers, not looking cool for your friends.

Well...I fell for it! Bought these (CHEAP) and their pieces of crap. Both of them are flashing and the right one goes on/off whenever it pleases. Then I try to get them replaced...no customer service site, just sales. Anyone know how to get hold of these peeps? Obvious Chinese crap and Chinese sellers....web site grammar will prove it.

All I can say is good luck, Chinese vendors are not known for honoring their warranties. If you ever do get in touch with them, they will likely confuse you with an assault of Engrish. I swear that is nothing more than an avoidance tactic, and it works pretty *dang* well.

Did you disable your daytime running lights? When I installed my HIDs I had to disable the daytime running lights because the HIDs need to have pull power all the time or they will blink.. Just a thought... hope it helps.

No color in the stock housing is "legal". 4300k, sometimes called 5000k is what OEM's use in HID Projectors/Reflectors. That's about as white as you get. The hotter color you get the harder it is to see in adverse conditions (rain, snow, etc). Most people don't have issues, but they are technically illegal in a halogen reflector, AFAIK. Just make sure you aim the headlights correctly and you should be fine.

Yes, they are all illegal. 4300K or 5000K should keep you out of trouble as long as you aim them properly. Any bluer than that and not only will it look retarded (only my opinion, obviously) but it will be glaringly obvious (pun intended) that you have HIDs in an illegal housing and could get you in trouble with the law.

I like 5000K, because true 5000K closely mimics OE setups after they have colorshifted. Be warned though that all aftermarket bulbs color shift very rapidly compared to OE quality bulbs. 5000K will become 6000K after only a month or two of use, and 4300K will become 5000K after a similar amount of time. Beyond that I believe they will continue to colorshift and lose light output.

After a few HID setups I would go with 4300K, or as close to it as you can get. That way you have longer before they turn ricer blue.

no i got 8000K for the highs and lows. if i did it again i would probably get 6000K just for a little less blue tint, not a big deal though. i'm still very happy with my purchase

Sorry your not happy with them. I have had mine since the end of October and they have worked perfectly every time and I have them in the lows and fogs on both my car and my wifes car and a friend of mine has them on his truck and his girlfriends car with no problems on any of them. I did get sent the wrong bulbs originally and when e-mailed them and they made it right the same week. I will keep looking for the 800 number that I had for them, the woman I spoke with was either American or had no accent and very good English.

On the drivers side behind the pcm (between the drivers fender and the PCM) you will find a white ceramic box with a plug going into it.

Unplug that connector and you should be good to go..

I can get a picture of it tomorrow if you need one. but its not hard to find.
