Do you even have a PCV installed in the GenV? What happens if you simply remove it? Are you missing the o-ring?

The two GenV swaps I've done were both done on L67 LIM's, not the way you did it. Are there more profound differences in the LIM's? Do you have a pic of your LIM before install?

(btw, I wasn't suspecting the bca or bcs as part of your problem, I was wondering if you closed the boost bypass whether positive pressure would come out the tube rather than vacuum).

Yes there is a PCV in the GenV, i even tried the one from my original charger. O-ring is good, did not try it with it removed.

I do not have pics from before so i pulled the LIM again. I set it side by side with a L67 LIM and the only differance that i can find is the main opening for the super charger. Back to scatching my head on this one.

wllwren, As far as the bca and bcs, i just wantd to make sure. Thanks for the help.

As far as i can tell this is how the air moves through a GenV & LIM.

1. PCV Metered air from intake (after MAF, Before TB butterfly)

2. Looks like just a pasage way

3. Looks like just a pasage way (ignore 3 on the LIM, was thinking it matched up, but it does not)

4. PCV air to the head front head though the block to the rear head, out # 5

5. PCV air out, goes to the bottom of the PCV valve, then back to the top of the charger case above the rotors

I don't see what i am missing. I need to check the air in on #1, but i do not see how it could be wrong.

Now let's talk about what features you just pictured are blocked by your SSIC. I'm still at a loss as to why you have vacuum in the crankcase, but we'll get it if we keep poking at it.

I used the gasket as a referance between the to.

Number 2 and 3 ports are blocked by the gasket and the SSIC. Ports 4 and 5 are line up right witht the charger, SSIC, and LIM. Unless the LIM gasket is bad or the source for port 1 is under sized?

So far my plan is to replace the LIM gasket and both supercharger gaskets. Also replacing the PCV valve and o-ring. Then once she is back together i am going to look at the PCV source input. Thinking that as the air goes through the TB it is creating a vacuum on the added port for the PCV. Eather that or the lines are under size and not alowing enuff air flow.

Put your SC, TB, and LIM together with the intercooler core and gaskets, and tighten lightly on the bench. Tape off the TB opening (or supercharger inlet) and apply compressed air to the open PCV valve pocket. Tell us where that air comes out. You can even do this with water if you like.

This is assuming the parts are off your car.

Did you tap a hole between the throttle plate and the MAF sensor and connect it to the 3/8 port on the back of the gen v blower?

If you didn't this can cause excessive vaccuum in the crank case and sometimes cause a high pitched sound as air tries to pass the main seals.

LOL at least he won't have to worrying about leaking oil when the engine is running.

Yes, it's very important to run a line from the GenV SC nipple into the TB. I tapped into the brass plug on top of the TB.

I got the car back together tonight and tried it again, stiill have a vacuum at the dip stick. So i pulled the air source line from the added line on the TB. There was the probem hissing at me. The air "source" that was added to the TB, had a vacuum along with the vacuum at the PCV nupple on the charger. Two vacuums = no oil in the crankcase. I know this is how people say to do it, but all the ones can find also add a valve cover breather at the time of the GenV swap. The breather just provides the pcv and intake (after the MAF) out side air.

Unless i am wrong or the flow diagrams in the factory manual are wrong.

Not sure how i am going to replum this, but atleast i THINK i know what is going

If you need a valve cover breather I have a couple of the more in demand ones over here in Sauk Centre on the cheap. I'll be in St. Cloud in the next few days and we could meet up if you want.
Might also be a good time for Larz01 to do some good tuning for you also.

The fix is posted by Rogue and SilverBullet above. Forget the breather. In fact, I probably have the 'fix' in some pictures of a GenV install somewhere around here. I forget the little details.

That is how i did it, but instead of neutral or positive air source there is a Strong vacuum from that port.

Here is how i had it hooked up when it was not working

Image

When i unhook the tube from the brass fitting there is a vacuum on the tube and a vacuum at the brass fitting.

That connection is right on. :???:

I'm not sure what is going on.

I don't even feel any vacuum at the valve cover breather.
