Early '90s Buick door interchangability...?

Post by klindstedt »

A couple of weeks ago another driver backed into my 1993 LeSabre while it was parked. The damage was all confined to the left rear door. I've received estimates to repair this (which he has agreed to pay), but I'm trying to save a little money by replacing the door myself before I take it for paint. I've found on Craigslist an individual who is parting out a 1991 Park Avenue Ultra. Looking at the pictures he posted, the doors look similar, and the price can't be beat - $40! Does anyone know for certain that they are the same? I can switch over the interior trim stuff to match and I assume the outside molding will be different so I'll have to swap that as well. Thanks.

I am very confident it will not fit. The Park avenue is longer, and that is one of the places it looks like they add to the length.

Yeah, the PA is a stretched LeSabre platform, more than likely it will not fit. I believe the trunk and hood are the same length on both, but the interior has been stretched.

They are close, but you can see a difference in the top rear corner. The LeSabre's is more angled.
