How wide are the catera led strips? With the back of the panel sticking out slightly, does it cause the trunk section to stick out past the taillights?

nope it didnt sick out at all.. for sure.. its only sticking out on the top right corner a little bit (you will never see it if i dont point it out) and thats because i broke the clip.. but as for the gap, itll never be in the way

Yeah, have been already. Seen some on eBay. I will have to measure how long I will need first though!

I'm pretty sure those LEDs would make this project much easier.. since the bonne trunk light is slightly curved

I was just thinking that if you run two wires to the positive lead for the leds, one with resistors so that the light is the same brightness as the parking light tails, and the other straight, and install diodes in line so that one circuit doesn't feed to the other, it will do both functions. you would wire the dim one to the park light circuit, the bright to the brake light circuit. And as far as 2x12v, that will not be a factor because it will be wired in parallel, which would mean double the amps, not double the volts. Since things don't care if they have more amps available than necessary, it wouldn't matter.

Just called our local dealer and they said it was the part number for the seal around the center reflector.

dealership staff are stupid and dunno what they are talking about.. ive been looking for this for 2 months now and they all said you have to buy the whole thing

the center reflector dont have a seal, the only seal is the one that goes around the clip..

now i went to the dealer ship here and the discription for the item was "seal with snap" so im pretty *dang* surre this is the one..

and this is the picture off the GMpartsdirect site its number 2




and this is the image i got from the dealership.. its the same part number as used in the aurora.. its number 5

yes there is a rubber seal that runs across the entire top of the reflector.

#2 in the picture looks nothing like it.

how sure are you? i took it off twice and i dont remember seeing any seals around it..

look at the pictures i just posted... its a small block i doubt thats a trim seal
