No need for fire stuff or bug repellent.

Add cooler for the beverages and maybe an umbrella for the track to shade the sun, oh and dont forget the camera!!

Towels!! and i wear sandals in the shower to avoid trench foot.....it is public.

Laptop cause they have wifi, laundry soap if you need to clean your clothes.

ZM has extra chairs just in case, and a couple extra coolers to rotate if needed. Keep in mind we take coolers with nothing but ice bags for the superchargers to the track.

FRS radios if you have them. We use the HECK out of them.

ZM also has a couple little one-person coffee pots to take out to the KOA, as well as another big pot here (ask driverjohn, it's the best pot he ever gave me). Free WiFi here too, as well as the KOA.

But seriously, what else do you veterans bring?

All you really need is exactly what you have already listed plus the basic grooming stuff. There are other items you could bring like an air pump for the matress, tools, spare fluids, but most of that will already be available from others in attendance. You will want to keep an eye on the weather forecast as it gets closer and pack appropriately. Also, if you are going to run at the track, you are supposed to wear long pants and shoes (no shorts or sandles/flip-flops, but some have been able to run with long baggy shorts).

It is time for me to start compiling the WCBF ’08 Phone List for those attending.

If you are on Paul's list for attending WCBF ’08, I will be sending everyone a PM to find out if you would like your cell and/or home phone number(s) on the list. If you were on last years list and your number hasn't changed, there is no need to give me your phone number, again unless you just want to

If you don’t have a cell phone or just don’t want your # on a list to be shared, that is fine, too. We truly are like family and just want to able to contact each other in case of an emergency or if someone gets lost or needs something.

Also, if you don’t want your #’s on the list but are willing to provide me (or any admin/mod) with your phone number so at least somebody has it, then that would be great.

For those that that let me know they still plan on coming to WCBF ’08 (whether you want your phone # on the list or not), I will send you a PM with the phone list so you will have a list of numbers to contact if you need anything during your trip.

Duct Tape
It did come in handy when I realized I brought the two twin mattresses instead of the big comfy one... I duct taped the two together.

Clothline and pins to hang up your towels/swimming trunks (rig it between a tree and your tent)

Laundry bag so you can keep your clean/dirty clothes separated easily.

Sunscreen and chapstick

I also brought bungie cords and velcro when I drove out...and I'll be danged if they didn't come into use during the trip at some point. I can't recall what.

Rechargable Batteries for your camera and 2-way radio. Walmart has a charger kit complete with car charger adapter for less that $15. Well worth the investment.

Keep in mind, even if your site doesn't have power, others will. Several of the 'days' will also be at my house, and you can recharge here as well.

You can even send me home at night with your battery/device and charger, and it'll be ready the next morning.

Like last year, I'll plan on leaving my extra cell phone with someone at the KOA so we always have easy (free) communication between there and here. It works very well.

FIREWOOD. If you have space for it in the trunk, bring it up. Even if it's just scrap chunks. I have some available here, but it sucks to be limited.

Thurs. July 24 - Egg McMuffin morning, and final Mod morning... then Ready for Test and Tune at Woodburn Drag Track - Leave at 1:30pm. Drag races - 3:pm - 7:pm. ....dinner at McDonald's @ 7:30pm.........back to KOA by 10:pm for the wet and brown shorts club

Friday July 25 - Testing and tuning. Arby's/Wendy's dinner. Road testing and final tweek mods. . ...... campfire discussions..........bed by 10:pm for big day tomorrow.

Saturday July 26 - Woodburn Chevy Showdown Show'n Shine Swap Meet & Drags Woodburn 100 Bonneville convoy leaves at 6:00 a.m. sharp.
8:am-6:pm followed by our traditional Bonneville/GP group photo shoot at Woodburn Dragstrip, and dinner at Salem Peitro's Pizza with the SEACPGP and PDXCGP Grand Prix's . ...back to KOA by 9:pm for awards and party till the engine blocks are cold.

Sunday July 27 - Group discussions and picture/video swap at Bill's.
Coffee Day and bowel gas expulsion.

Monday July 28 - Most will leave hurrying home to post pics of the best time they ever had while smiling.
