Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.

WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH MY BONNE?

Post by Phibes »

Hello, Bonne owners!

I've owned four Bonne's and loved em all. But I'm SO disappointed with the lack of support in the after market world for our cars.

As I find a few resources for after market goodies, I'll post em here.

Anyone whom has links to good providers of after market goodies for our cars please post em here.
I'd greatly appreciate it.

To get things started, here's a link to decode your VIN numbers....

Enjoy,

Phibes

What kind of aftermarkt goodies are you looking for?

Exterior, interior, engine, transmission, suspension?

Here is a link for the Actron scan tool on Amazon. This is the cheapest I've ever found Actron scanners.

If anyone has any experience with this scanner, let me know. I'm considering buying this one.

That doesn't help us. Do you want a fast car, loud car, comfy car, etc? The best place to start with a car is to set goals, and a timeline. Figure out what you want to do and do it. Even if you don't stick to your timeline, it keeps you on the path you want to remain on. If you just throw mods at your car, it does nothing.

My goals:
13.9999 1/4 mile (eventually)
Reliable, Comfy, Fast Daily Driver that gets looks at the local cruise-in, and smokes the local ricers.

Those are pretty basic goals, but I have a vision in my head. I know the mods I want to do, and what is required to get there. I'm sure with a 15 year old car you're going to have setbacks with things that break, but if you have goals, you don't just have a bunch of mods on your car. You have a common theme throughout your entire car.
Bye Bye:

<sigh> Guys, the idea here is to give us links to after market parts. Sometimes you don't know exactly what you want until you see it. The links and ideas I hoped to receive here would've helped. But after reading the replies here, I give up.

Never mind replies here. I won't be back.

Well you weren't contributing then either, you posted a link to an RPO decoder (just posted weeks ago), and a link for a scanner (not even a part).

By the way, the scanner you posted wont work with your 95, you need a CP9145.

Its just a fact, nobody produces aftermarket bolt on body mods for the Bonneville. If you want to mod, get a GP.

Suit yourself.

Yea mods are very limited when it comes to exterior with these cars. Body will be all custom by either you or paying someone a good chunk of change.

For interior depending on how big of mods you want to do will determine if its going need to be custom or not. These cars weren't really looked at as big modding cars really. There are decent engine mods but far as looks go not many.
