ZZ Performance High Velocity Throttle Bodies
ZZ Performance High Velocity Throttle Bodies
Anyone tried their TB for the L36? Seems the HV3 will only benefit IF cam and Springs and Rockers are installed. Don't want to do all this right now and am wondering if the TB is a better quicker bang for the buck?

Can't speak for the L36, but a ported and smoothed TB was the best "seat of the pants" mod I ever did to any of my LSx powered cars. Instantaneous throttle response was awesome.

Re: ZZ Performance High Velocity Throttle Bodies
If I remember right, since you're an '05, you should have a drive by wire throttlebody and those HV TB's won't work on your car.
And a HV3 should be installed after a cam OR rockers. 1.8 ratio rockers can be installed without changing the valve springs and ER rockers (best n/a ratio) can be installed just by upgrading the intake valvesprings and retainers. (this info is straight from the guy who developed them)

Re: ZZ Performance High Velocity Throttle Bodies
In that case, A stage 1 HV throttlebody will out flow a stock L67 TB.
But, if you port and match the exit of a 99+ L67 TB to your UIM, you could have potentially more flow for a fraction of the cost.
This will require tuning since you're changing the area around the MAF.
