GXP tailights?

My tailights on my 2000 Bonneville SSEi have leaking seals and fog has been getting inside the tailight housing. Will tailights from a 2004 or 2005 Bonneville GXP fit on my SSEi. The seal is ruined because I tried to heat up the seal and remove the orange lens to make them clear. I know the GXP tailights are already clear. Are all the bulb sockets in the same place as the ones on the SSEi tailights?

If yes, does anyone have a set of 2 GXP or SSEi tailights for sale here?

Yes they are a direct bolt in.

Good luck finding a set, or on the other hand, a cheap set. They are pretty rare in the junk yards.

I'm with Andrew on this one. Morad has a set but he wants to sell the trunk lid and spoiler with it. Anyway, he wants $450.00.

i wouldnt replace the tail lights without replacing the trunk lid piece... itll look weird...

No, what he's referring to is that morad has a set of GXP tails, but they won't just sell the tails, they only want to sell them with the trunklid and spoiler, as they won't be able to get rid of it without the tails.

I think SAMzGXP was saying it would look weird to have GXP outter Tails and the SSEi center section. Because the OP only asked about the 2 taillights.

Alright, alright. What about SSEi/SLE/SE tailights? I honesty don't think it would look weird with the original SSEi center tailpiece. The GXP ones would be nice, but at this point I just need a set of 2 taillights that will fit it. As long as they're from an 2000-2003 SSEi/SLE/SE Bonneville.

GXP have clear tails and center piece (top and bottom) were all the rest have the black lines inside..

so having clear red tails and then black lined center piece would look a little off.. also theres a small part in the trunk piece with an orange reflector on the non GXP... so you're reallly off

vs

also the non GXP have a darker red than GXP..

i have 2 bonnevilles at home parked next to each other everday 05 GXP and 03 SLE and im sure it wont match

but agian thats JMO

Alright, I appreciate all the info. BTW, does anyone know of any tutorials on here on how to remove the center tailpiece of 2000-2003 Bonneville SSEis? I'm considering taking it off and removing the orange lens reflector pieces from it.

Remove the carpet on the trunklid. There are 4 bolts on the inside where it bolts to the lid. The top corners are held in by plastic clips. You need to pull it out carefully, but it takes a lot of pressure.
