How do I remove FPR?
How does the fuel pressure regulator come out?
I smell gasoline in the line to it, so I'm thinking about replacing it. I have occasional bogging when motor is idling--just sounds like it's running rich when motor slows to idle. Doesn't stall. Sounds like a carburetor with the float set too high. Feels sluggish up to 1500 then drives normal. This has happened 3 times over 3 weeks.

Hmm, I kinda have the same situation with mine minus the fuel smell. I figured it had to do with a leaking EGR valve.imidazol97 wrote:How does the fuel pressure regulator come out?

Re: How do I remove FPR?
I hadn't thought about an EGR not quite closing occasionally causing it? I just took it out and it looked clean as a whistle a few weeks ago. Also cleaned MAF.Slayer636 wrote:Hmm, I kinda have the same situation with mine minus the fuel smell. I figured it had to do with a leaking EGR valve.
How much gasoline smell from the tube to the FPR is acceptable?
Another symptom might be a lot of fuel smell in the exhaust when the car is first started for a half minute or so.

Re: How do I remove FPR?
I was able to change mine (twice) using two screwdrivers. Had it out in under a minute.

Both were flat heads of normal size except one had a smaller tip than the other.
