A few weeks ago a went through an automatic car wash that was a little harsh. Each cycle seemed very powerful and shook my entire car, a 1999 SLE. A couple days after I went through the car wash I heard some crackling sounds out of my left rear speaker, of which I've replaced both the rears. Now, I can't get any sound out of any of my speakers using the CD player or the radio. The CD player spins the CDs and the antenna is fully raised. But raising the volume, turning it off and on again and just being patient don't work. Does anyone know what happened? Did a wire become loose in the rear that short out all the speakers? I'm a little lost and would appreciate any help!
Thanks!!

Re: Broken Stock Stereo?
If this is your problem, it would be unrelated to the car wash, but the amplifier in my CD player went south last winter...It started by making crackling sounds from both left speakers (front and rear) followed by the complete loss of the left channel. I swapped amps with a $0.99 bonneville tape player i bought on ebay which solved the problem.

Re: Broken Stock Stereo?
Surprisingly, my stereo started working again today. Strange.
