i outlined in red on both parts, you can kind of see "tabs" holding it to the outside frame on both pieces!

You also want to cut the front of the housing as well. All that gutting won't do any good unless you open that front portion up too

my internally gutted airbox sounds great a WOT and i don't deal with the darn cold start up vacuum
but yes, you want to open up the front of the same part you gut there josh, like mfb mentioned

*dang* it sounds a lot better. Sounds like I got some power under there now! Will the FWI increase that effect of dampen it?

It seems to be running great now. Drilling holes doesnt seem neccesary right now. Especially since im gonna be getting a FWI. A lot more pickup. Somewhat faster. When i step on the pedal pretty good you hear it really start sucking air. sounds great
