My S10...with a bunch of new stuff! (and vids)

Post by LeSabreUltra »

Fixed my truck up some this summer...mostly removing some old ghetto looking crap that was on it...

I redid my tachometer so that it's in a body colored pod now. I got rid of the old sagging plastic toolbox and got a diamond plate shiny metal one, I got my windows tinted, full K&N air intake, removed the cat after the factory one clogged, new sound system with new speakers and an amplified subwoofer, a few other little things here and there...

Please excuse the duct tape on my windshield and the wire hanging down...the window tint installer accidentally broke the window mount off my windshield so the glue has to set for a few days. Also excuse my dirty wheels, engine, and floormats! I do take this truck to various job sites.

Video. Keep in mind that the driveby (second video) was recorded before I got the K&N...

Thanks Juan!

And it sure does...put a smile on my face the first time I let it go into the upper RPM ranges.

Just listening to it you can tell where the 4.3 got its roots

Just had a thought.... We should swap a 4.3 V8 into that... You can tell everyone its a 4.3 and confuse them with the V8 sound :beerchug:

LOL at don. Looks good! Buddy of mine got a 2.2L S10 and man is that thing gutless. Your truck is way quicker. I also like the badging, looks sweet.

Is the tach that hard to see at night, or is it just the camera?
Bye Bye:

Thanks guys...and LOL Don...that would so be worth the funny looks people would give me.

It's just the camera. The tach is a little brighter around the outside than in the center but the whole thing is well lit. The dash lights are very bright though so it makes it kind of confusing.

Looking good. What kind of MPG do you get with that truck?

Thanks...I seem to get anywhere from 18-22 depending on city/highway. The mileage doesn't vary a whole lot.

I think, though, that my K&N intake might be helping my mileage. Last fillup got me 21 mpg with a fair amount of city driving. I'll have to see.
