GXP Floor mats

Post by jargarner »

I just got a 2005 bonneville gxp and it did not come with floor mats and now I need to purchase some and would like them to say GXP on them but in Tan. Anyone know where you can purchase them??

I think the only mats that had GXP on them from Pontiac was the Solstice.

Correct. The original floor mats on the Bonneville GXP were plain. Only the SSE/SSEi's had embroidered floor mats. I think GM thought that since they had the GXP door sills that they could get away with standard floor mats, but I'd rather have the mats than the door sills.

I dunno, I kinda like my door sills with it vs. the floor mat. They add a bit if "sophistication" to the car. If you saw my floor mats, just from normal usage, you'd agree. You should see the embroidered mats in our van. They're OEM that say "Limited" on them and after two months of use, you could barely read that. Let alone after one winter.

My SSEi floormats have held up fairly well for 150k. They do have a little wear where your foot rests, but my 00 had much worse with 146k.

Thats why I have some cheap rubber floormats for winter.

I'm sure you could have someone custom embroider them too, although that might be kind of expensive.

Well they didn't come factory with GXP printed on them. There are however, places where you can buy floor mats with the option of having 'Your Text Here" stitched in. For example, I found something on eBay. You could chose the "Plain" font and you want it to say GXP. It would be close, but it would lack the checkered pattern... But I'm sure if you really wanted, you could buy the correct floor mats and take them to an embroidery shop and have the GXP stitched in or something.
