New Shelbys arent THAT fast....

Post by 01bonneSC »

well, maybe they are.... :???: :hail: He sure made a lot of smoke warmin up the rubbers. Pretty sure it was stock(if you can consider anything SHELBY "stock"). The 7th and 8th cylinders really kicked in for him at the 1/8th. Then he just proceded to walk...er, RUN, away from me. Im guessing 13s, I cant find my time slip for that run. It was a 15.2 run for me I know, it was my last run of the day.

Watching a vid from in car with the tree is kinda cool, my reaction time was ok but I think I can watch myself on the staging. staged pretty far up, if I could stay back a bit after the second set of lights thatll help with 60s and reaction time correct? As I would be getting more of a rolling start before the Green comes up?

If it was a GT500 and not just a GT, he was running high 12's. Or he was a terrible driver and was running 13's.

I was head counting from when he crossed the line till I did. High 12s is def what he was hitting. It was an older gentleman that def seemed like he knew what he was doing.

ha! i really know my mustangs :angry7:, but that really looks like a shelby GT due to lack of spoiler and black rims, as well as lack of whine overload :???:

It was too far ahead to be a normal Shelby GT. Either had work done or was something else.

Not too impressive on the low end, but it is a OHC motor. Fast on the top end, but definitely not quick off the line.

Similar to the V6 Mustangs... people claim they run 15.0 stock, but I've seen a completely stock one with 15,000 miles run a 16.1 three times in a row, and that was with a excellent driver.

Def big black rims and spoiler. No way that was NA. Oh and Jeep SRT-8s and Charger SRT-8s are VERY fast.

That was not a GT500. The fact that it doesn't have a spoiler is an immediate giveaway.

The spoiler on GT500s are pretty minimal. They arent some huge honkin' ricer wing.

Yeah, I know...but that didn't have one at all. Plus there's the black rims. I know you said there's no way its NA but he could have easily supercharged it.
