ok i had a 95 Bonnie se (had usal intake issue)
then had a 92 caddy deville
now im looking at a 2001 Grand prix GT 90k
the guy wants 3800 for it and he just replaced the tranny with one that has apr0x 40k on it (it acculy broke when i was test driving it)
it was a repo so theres no factory key and the security system had been disabled, the air intake has been revoved and a cheap aftermarket one is there. the side suports on under the hood are missing also. (minor but still questionable)
i know these cars have tranny and intake issues
whatch think should i go for it or not?
thansk Jvv

Re: Looking at a 2001 Grand Prix GT
well i have had 3 Grand Prix's now and have loved all of them. They are a great car. The minor things you can get from the junkyard, wont cost much at all. Sounds like a good deal for the money. I paid 4K for my 00 GT with 153,000 on it with a rebuilt tranny, and the intake was replaced before i got the car. If it seems mechanically sound, then I would go for it, if not, keep looking.
