air hose or air kit

I was reading my car manual (weird eh? lol) and i read that the car comes with an air hose and some kind of kit for inflating balls and stuff.. also mentions the hose was like 6 meters long IIRC

any idea where that hose is? i mean it could be taken away by the previous owner but im just wondering where was it before?

the book never mentioned anything about where it would be hidden

It's a whole kit, usually kept in the trunk (14" x 12" x 5" roughly). Large enough that you can't miss it. Also contains a small first aid kit, flare, bungee cord, ice scraper and a few other goodies. It's black and has Pontiac on the top flap.

just a loose box in the trunk? like its not mounted or hidden somewhere?

Nope. It has some velcro on the back so it will stick to one of the sides in the trunk. Nowhere to really mount it. Believe me, you definitely wouldn`t miss it. I`ll round up a photo for you...

It's a vinyl Pouch that says Pontiac Accessory Kit on it. If it's there, you won't miss it. Most people remove them and throw them in the corner and forget about it when they sell the car. I have mine from when i totalled my last car, as my new car didn't have one.

I believe it was only available as a whole kit. It has been discontinued now for some time. You might try calling Schram Auto Parts. They used to have a bunch. No longer on their website, but you should call them anyway. The ones they had were all new IIRC.

A couple of things didn`t make it into the photo...

Just found I`m missing my attachments for air mattresses and basket balls I used to have them, don`t know where I might have left them. Now I might have to call too!

I found one on ebay over a year ago....didn't have all the pieces, but it had the air line (nice with attached pressure gauge) and the adapters for inflating balls, rafts, etc. I got it for about $20 shipped, and that's what I wanted....just enough to use the on-board compressor. As far as a light, I have a real nice LED light that's bright, and a few other things I added to the kit to make it just what I want.

My kit is complete except for the bungee and the light stick. If any one has a partial with those pieces let me know I would like to complete the kit. It is a very cool accessory very simular to the ones many manufacturers put in early cars.

Just spoke to one of the guys at Schram Auto Parts. They have about 25 of these kits left (well... I guess 24 if you take off the one I just bought).
