A friend of mine has a 2002 Pontiac 40th anniversay GP. He's recieved a recall on his car for valve cover gasket. I guess they tend to leak oil onto the manifold and could cause i fire. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is only the 2002 and newer 3800's? and does anyone have a link or web page where i can look up recalls for our Bonnevilles?
Thanks
Deb

Re: Recalls
It's not for all 3800s. That recall was actually just for L67s in the W-Body.

Ah ok, thanks Black.
I was asking because my valve cover is leaking, and before i fix it wanted to know
if it was a recall.

Re: Recalls
You can call Pontiac at 1-800-620-7608 with your vin number and they will tell you if any recalls exist and if they are still open on your specific car. This is very helpful if you buy your car used. You can also register your address with Pontiac if they send out any new recalls.
