KOA reservations for WCBF

Post by myfirstbonnie »

I am planning on making my reservation in a day or two and I figured I would start the thread on who has which campsites. I am going to try to get site 41 which is in the corner. Wendy and I will probably stay in a motel and this would leave the site in the corner as the gathering place at night to be isolated from the other campers.

If you make a reservation, let us know so we can map it out.

Taylor, I'll be bringing the trailer down, there is lots of room if you need a softer bed. Not much action at my age so you won't be interrupting anything.

I'd like to steal Taylor again this year and keep him at the house. He knows how things work and where stuff is. Having that extra set of hands proves very useful....assuming Taylor is up to being my house bitch again. Travis stayed with me two years in a row as well for the same reason.

(this also gives me a designated driver if I need it)

Vince, the earlier you can get away the better. Considering what we committed to on your car, you can count on the SLEeper while yours is down. If you come earlier than your reservation, I'll make room for you.

So I'm trying to plan out the possibility of making this trek out to WCBF and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share a site? I have a tent or wouldn't mind sharing a Kabin.

If possible, and as usual, I think me and Joelson will end up at Chez Bill for one evening, when we first roll in from Medicine Hat. I am planning on getting a Kabin again this year...last year it never happend....just so we don't have to take so much stuff. Drew is on the fence about coming, it might not work out for him, in that case, Joel will just come down with me in my SSEi, like previous years.

Who currently has a site where they wouldn't mind me parking my tent? I'll contribute to the cost of the lot.

Also what about hotels in the area?

2000SilverBullet myfirstbonnie and boss455 can clue you in on the hotel situation (I live here, so I don't do that often!).

Vince and Kyle.....you guys look like two good candidates to share a tent, or a site and two tents.

Wendy and I will probably end up in a motel, so our space might be up for grabs, and I even have an 8 man tent we could put on it. I got the corner space so it could be the late night gathering spot so we did not annoy the other campers.

I will be looking at the hotels later, but we will most likely end up at the motel 6 down the road from Wren's.

We usually stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on the river on 2nd St.
They have great breakfasts free for all guests but most importantly...indoor COVERED PARKING.

I liked the Motel 6 by Wrens. It's right next to a Best Western but 1/2 the price and looks very similar. I think it has free internet access too.

Wherever you decide to stay, reserve soon. I don't know why, but places around that area get booked up in the summer.

There are a lot of organized childrens sports events held there at that time. It is a University town.
