1995 Silhouette A/C troubles

Talk about the other 3800 powered GM cars, particularly for items not covered in other sections that may be unique to your year/model, and differ from a Bonneville.

1995 Silhouette A/C troubles

Post by L67Silhouette »

I bought this van with the high speed blower relay burned out...I didn't find any obvious problems so I replaced the relay and the high speed worked fine for 6 months and the relay burned out again...Today, 6 months later, it burned up again...Any ideas?

The fan motor may be going bad and using too much current.

Same problem I have found on the 95 Transport...

And the same Issue I had on the 95 Bonneville of sorts... The Blower Motor on the Bonneville got bad enough that it fried the connector and the wire... I had to find a good one on a Junk car and splice the new connector in and replace the Blower Motor.... I have had no further wire cooking issues...

The 95 Transport has cooked the wire a little... And had melted the blower motor relay... I replaced it and will soon replace the Blower motor...
