a sketch of what I want to do
the interior of the 95 Im fixing is junk, so I was thinking that if I have to buy 2 new seats for the front, then I can use the ones I have & put them in the back. then do a custome console that will go allthe way to the back & I can paint it shiny black & do black leather on the seats & doors, & Ill paint all the plastics black & do all the stitching on red. I can dream, cant I?

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
That's kind of what I am going to be doing to my '95. The problem is there is not enough room for the bucket seats in the rear, unless you are hauling REALLY short people. You'll notice that the back seat starts about 8" or so higher up than the front for mounting points. This eliminates any head room for passengers (I had to sit leaning very sideways). My solution is going to be relocating the gas tank and dropping the floor down to the same level as the front seat, which will not be the easiest task to do right.

And this is without the seat frame rails?
You know, I measured the with of the seats & the space back there & it fits perfect, but it never ocured to me that it wouldnt fit height wise.

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
You mean remove your head. The headrests just fit under the roof, but sitting in it, your head doesn't. I tested with the full rails and such underneath them. I want to retain the adjustable features of them. If you set the seat directly on the existing floor pan you might be ok, as long as not one of any height tries to sit in them.

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
I was thinkin on installing them straight to the floor without the rails. There wouldn't be no movement in them just the inflators. & I havnt looked under the seat, but maby the iner frame can be cut & modified to make it sea lower in the car.

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
have you thought about finding a set out of a w-body? I've seen the 89-97 Grand prix with a bucket seat conversion in the back and they seem to fit fine.

Certain GPs came factory with four buckets. I always wanted to do that in my old 94 GP. Your sketch looks sweet!

I like everything but the stock console lid. Ditch that if favor of a more sleek design, and you'll have something.

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
Pretty wild idea, however how would it be for leg room? If they sat that close to the floor, likely the passengers knees would be forced into the back of the front seats.
Looks pretty nice, though.

picture it in your mind with the drivers seat in place, it would fit right in.

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
you should put something in the custom console like a seperate stereo with only head phone jacks or something like that.

FWI, converted low beam bulbs into high beam bulbs, 20% tint all around, MSD wires, NDK TR55 plugs, auxiliary line in, scan gauge, custom FloPro/MagnaFlow Cat back exhaust

Re: a sketch of what I want to do
Im getting a custom gas tank so i can lower my floor so i can do that in mine. But where the console comes to the back wall there i am going to put 2-4 speakers. Dependingon what i can fit. While im getting all that done i want to get all the interior done in black leather.
