Sounds good MadMike. I have my parts ordered and should get them installed in the next 1-2 weeks. I'm pretty excited myself.

Very cool. What are you going with for resonator and mufflers? I would love to hear a sound clip if you can. I am shopping for a set up. But going with 3" for my needs  . Still haven't decided on mufflers and resonator yet.

this is pissing me off, the guy tells me 4-6 hours ok
then i get there 7 hours later, cuz i had to work,
HE HASNT EVEN STARTED YET
he had no other cars to do
that was on tuesday

on wednesday, i call him at 1:30pm
he tells me he got a f250 he put a fast bolt on exhaust on
so he started shortly after that..

i call him at 6 just before they close
they havent gotten the back manafold off yet
claims that the bolts are rusted, *rusted bolts take 5 hours to take care of i guess

this morning, i call him at 10:45 am
he says there opperating on the car,
hell call me when they get to the mufflers to see how i want it set up
i call him at 4pm, he hasnt contacted me
STILL havent gotten the back header off..
STILL hasnt started on bending pipe for the exhaust
JUST today ordered the Y pipe
and expects it to be done tmrw afternoon around 5pm

so......
it went from a 4-6 hour job @ 350-400 bucks or so
to a 3 DAY job that im not paying more than 600 for

cuz when i dropped off the mufflers,
i go back to take a look at the progress..
and there all sitting in back drinking beer
not working on the car at all
so im gonna give him 6 hours of labor and 100 dollars for the parts, no more cuz this is *shoot*

any compitent mechanic should be able to do this job in one day in less than 6 hours with HAND tools
if i had a lift and a pipe bender i wouldve done it myself, but this is rediculous

I am also curious as to WTF they are doing taking off the rear header. Are you getting a new flex pipe welded in?

well....
ill be calling the BBB tmrw morning
he took me for $940.68
supposedly 14 hours of labor
and 233.44 in parts (just for the pipe and hangers)
i also have to consult a lawyer to see if its worth taking to court

but on the plus side, it looks great, sounds great, and runs nice
ill have a video clip as soon as i can get ahold of a camera.

same thing happened to me. i sat around for hours and they decided that the other vehicles were more important than mine, and just neglected it. It took them 6 hours to weld in a catalytic converter, and it was about 20 minutes of actual work if that. I was the first one there too. ugh.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. That's why I have such a hard time letting anyone do any work on my car.

But at least you got it done. I want to hear it!
