no lights on air suspension buttons.

Post by rockit-man »

I can't feel a noticable difference when I switch between. I have allready checked the plugs on the rear struts, and they look OK. Also from time to time I can hear my comressor kick in, so I know that works.

The compressor is part of the ELC (the leveling system, which raises the rear end when you load the trunk), which is not a part of the CCR Ride buttons. Usually when CCR fails, the lights on both buttons come on, but i seem to think that no lights also means the struts have failed. You'll have to give up on the feature because it is prohibatively expensive to repair. :???:

Nope. The LED's may simply be burnt out in the switches. A strut (or other system failure) will cause both to light at the same time.

The difference is VERY subtle. Try a 'wavy', not ROUGH road at about 35mph, and you may feel the difference. Use Techinfo (I think the article is now posted) to verify if it'll throw codes. If it won't light them up, you'll have to repair the LED's, and may find the CCR system works.

Don't confuse CCR with ELC as stated above. They are independent systems not related to each other.

Well then. That's good news. I think they are 2.5 volt LED's. I replaced mine by obtaining another set of switches and swapping the led's out of them, which requires soldering. If you need more help on how to replace them, harofreak00 is the man.
