It's normal to move some during different operations, and can vary depending on engine temp. How much does it move at idle?

0 would be a problem. Does the dash ding at you when that happens?

I'd borrow an oil pressure tester to verify. Or get it tested. And soon. An hour of diagnostic time is worth it.

There is a description of what each forum is for under the title of it on the main forum page. Maintenance items are under the generations of years. :beerchug:

Just a bump of what I said. Get that oil pressure confirmed.

Change the oil filter.I have a 95 and 98 and both did same thing till I changed oil filter. If the bypass tube gets clod in the filter it will cause just what you described.

well...you need to verify this, its of utmost importance. So, to get real definite...I'd personally buy the cheapest mechanical oil gauge possible, even if its an aux dash gauge, something you can pull the sending unit out, screw in the mech gauge's plug, and check it for sure. They can't be more than $20. The last time I had to buy and install one was for my 85 Nissan Pickup, but still a rather simple operation.

Yes, you do. My gut feeling here is that your pressure is really that low. Does it stay higher when the car is cold?

A couple other things you can try are Engine Restore, that blue stuff in the can. I used it for a while when my pressure was getting low and it bought me time. You can try Intense's oil pressure kit. It increases the oil pressure relief valve's seat pressure. Though it will only raise the pressure to a point where the rest of the oil path will suppot it.
