Lou, Mark, and Myself from CHC went to Woodward this year, met up with many other GTO/G8 owners. Lou took plenty of pics overall, but we made the pilgrimage to GM HQ. We then took these a few blocks away (in da 'hood), with Ren Cen in the background. It's ok, we were safe. We had a CBP agent with us. He has an IBM '04 like mine.

We cruised up and down a couple times, then finally crashed a private party (we didn't know), and set up shop. It was at a little intersection just south of Big Beaver Rd. on Woodward, and each time the light went red, it was endless hours of cars linining up, sometimes 4 abreast and "playing". It was a REALLY good time...

Nice pics. I was there too but I stayed near Pontiac/Royal Oak/Birmingham. Didn't do too much driving this year. I thought it didn't seem as busy as it was previous years, especially with the wonderful weather we had

I saw a couple Bonne's, but I don't recall seeing yours. They were all the last gen car, including a couple GXP's. But those were just random cars, not as part of a group or anything.
After a couple cruises up/down, we finally found a spot just south of Big Beaver Rd. on Woodward and set up shop. Right by a stop light. So everytime the light went red, it was a least two, three, sometimes all 4 abreast with something, and they'd all play a little. It was a great location.

It seems a lot of people are migrating away from the Dream Cruise and heading north to the Back to the Bricks in Flint. B2B was PACKED this year.

Only 2,503 STS-V's were produced over four model years (2006 - 2009). It's more rare than my GTO. But at least 3 are within a mile of each other here. Mine, a Black raven a few streets over, then another Light Platinum in unincorporated Elgin (I seem to run into him on 20 often).
XLR-V's are ever more rare (one was at Woodward too), something like 500 were made.

I didn't even know they made XLR-V'S
Actually I would love to have any V

I've never been to Back to the Bricks, but it looks like a good time I'll probably try to hit both next year

The lone rarity at Woodward. It has the same 4.4L supercharged, handbuilt Northstar V8 I have.
I wish they would've made STS-V's in this color. Our choices are black, silver (what I have), and Thunder Grey Metallic.

What was the reasoning behind the 6 lug choice on the first CTS-V and STS-V? Did GM really think 5 wasn't strong enough?

Thanks Ed. Honestly, I don't know, but it makes it a real PITA for any of use with STS-V's, XLR-V's, and first Gen CTS-V's (the now second gen CTS-V's are 5 lug), to find aftermarket wheels. As if finding a wheel with sufficient backspacing to clear the Brembos wasn't difficult enough, now add to it, that I need 6 holes, on a wheel that doesn't look like it's an aftermarket tack on... Really frustrating...

Yeah, that's always been my deal too, I'd think it would piss more people off than it would've ever helped.
Now I'm drooling over Premium STS's on CL....

I've got the guy who took all these pics (Lou), drooling over STS-V's. There are a few out there, under $30k. Maybe have mid to high mileage, but the way some of those guys change cars (like underwear), it's really a moot point.
I wasn't thinking, but on the way home, I should've taken a little detour up north to Lansing, and visit the plant where the car was built.

Yeah, but I'm sure the center and front diffs probably weren't rated for 440 HP. How's the trans in these?
