i forgot all about the fuse block under the rear seat. perhaps it is something as simple as the fuse....i hope!!

HVAC blower doesn't work
01 SE with manual controls. the hvac blower will not work. i bought another motor from the yard and plugged in. no luck.
i double checked the 3 connectors i could see connected to the motor area and they looked good. the lights on the dash controls light up. not sure where to check next or what to ...

finished!!! took a few days with the rain and what not but the car is done.
i forgot to install the pcv valve and started it. nasty hiss-leak around and inside the intake and squealing noise with it. otherwise no issues other than the rest of the car that needs fixed....hvac no blower at all and ...

thanks archon. needed to order a new fuel rail and saw a few that simply listed the L number.
using the APN kit and the supplied o-rings is a big no-no!! (at least on an 01). i used them and attempted to put the fuel rail back. was very hard to get in and assumed it was because of the new o-rings ...

can't tell you the part number, but i ordered the aluminum LIM gasket and was to my house in Iowa within a week. it was considered a "special order" part and was told it would take a little longer than normal to get to me.

i was referring to the sleeves that were inside with the fuel injector o-rings. i got the stove pipe installed, no problems.
as far as the throttle body, the machine shop charges $60 an hour for labor. i can get the throttle body for $25 from the yard, but i have to drive 40 miles to get it. still ...

nevermind, i just replaced the lower o-rings of the injectors and left them as is.
picking up a used throttle body tomorrow from the yard.
what i could use help with is what bolts go where on the UIM. forgot to mark where the double ended bolts go.

at my local parts store they are separate, thats why i asked. they sell the gaskets and grommets apart. i will just purchase them and replace them. better safe than sorry.

have everything removed and ready to begin reassembly. HOWEVER, when removing the IAC from the throttle body, a bolt snapped. i used PB blaster and went little by little. i even screwed it back in some, added more pb and then slowly started to remove again. the head of the bolt snapped off leaving a ...

ok, thanks to all those who have posted thus far. ordered the APN UIM kit and aluminum gasket from GM parts direct. i will begin to read the tech how-to to begin to familiarize myself with this procedure. i will post back as i am sure i will have additional questions once i begin....

dat was fuel coming out of the FPR, not coolant. my apologies for the coolant mix up. i was going to tie it all into one thread, but thought i would differentiate the two separate issues.
