Nice, that thing is pretty sweet. If I had cash and a place to park it, I would be making you an offer. :)

This thread has me secretly wishing my car would die so I can try to convince my fiancee to let me buy a G8. :)

No, just smells like oil. I am going on a ~300 mile road trip tomorrow so that should clear everything out.

White Sludge in Oil Cap

Hi all, checked my oil today and found this under the cap and a tiny bit of the same above the oil level on the dipstick:

I changed the oil about 1000 miles ago, its Pennzoil Platinum I believe. I drive roughly 2 ...

Nice! My friend had a '98 just like that and it was in good shape. Unfortunately it was totaled when someone pulled out in front of him.

Re: First month owner ship 2 tickets

I have found in my older age that there really is no reason to go more than 5mph over(what most cops give ya). Especially in the truck, the difference in MPG is pretty significant from 55 to 70mph.

This. If you're doing 10 over or more, then you're asking for it and have no place to complain. In ...

Re: New winter beater

Nice. I was looking at Suburbans/Tahoes casually online earlier this winter. I've got a 2 mile commute now so MPGs aren't a concern and it would be nice to have something that is well equipped for the snow.

Re: Would you recommend a Bonneville?

Unless someone is looking for an older car, I would probably not recommend. Unless they can find a gem. I would probably also recommend an SE for the older cars because there is far less to go wrong with them. The 3800 is a wonderful engine and it will keep running for a looooong time, but ...

Re: Por-15

It hasn't stayed "squishy" in my experience. It usually gets rock hard. I got some on a hood hinge bolt on my brother's GTA and the bolt wouldn't back out, had to break the bolt to remove it. He said the same happened with the lower control arm bolts in the rear when he did that part. It will only ...
