Re: Groaning brakes
Update...it is gone! After redoing everything and going premium along with bleeding the lines it is free of noise!! Once in a great while you hear a slight moan but basically I am good to go! LadyMac believes it was the brake line bleeding that did the trick! Hey, I can't argue with her, it works!!

Ultra Gauge...which gauges are best to show

Re: Groaning brakes
They are NAPA mid grade and they have a beveled ends if that is what you mean. It has been suggested that I get the pads with the seperation in the middle and that will solve my problem. I am at the point where i am going to replace the calipers to see if that is the problem!!!!!!

Re: Groaning brakes
Not a bearing...it is in the rear both sides! We have narrowed it down to either bleeding the lines or of that it isn't then rebuild the calipers! Beyond frustration...gearheads can you put your heads together on this one?? Thanks!

Re: Groaning brakes
At all speeds but usually when it heats up a little bit. You can pump the brakes and it is less severe but it never goes away. If I can anticipate the stop and stop like an old lady, very lightly braking for 100 yds before the stop then I can avoid the groan, or as my Son calls it, the whale sound ...

Re: Groaning brakes
Ok, I am completely frustrated with this situation now!! I have now replaced all rotors and pads with Napa medium grade, lubed them up well and I am still geting the groan!!! It is not a squeal but a moan or a groan. Kind of like running your finger around the rim of a crystal glass but a lower ...

Re: Supercharger noise...nasty noise
Looks like it is the HB after all...had a mechanic come and look at it and he was able to turn the HB back and forth as well as there are pieces of rubber coming off the face. He said the water pump is going bad too and I am pretty ticked at that because we just got through replacing that with the ...
