idk what to think for the past week she has warmed right up to 195 and stayed there like it should maybe i had the system air locked??? Idk but once i get my *dang* injectors i should have this thing running right!

alright so started by checking plugs and wires saturday and discovered that one plug while pulling the wire from the coil it didnt change the engine tone much at all so we pulled it and discovered it was pretty dry so we put a new plug in just to rule that out and point the finger at the injector ...

well got the pintles to move freely and bolted her on no check engine light for that anymore! now i gotta find out whats causing the miss and why my temp won't go above 195. a guy at work mentioned it may be the intake gasket being bad but my old 3.1 ltr had that problem but i would get real hot ...

egr is soaking right now probably gonna leave her for the night. so all three holes have a quite a bit of carbon built in there, can i just scrape it out carefully with a flathead screw driver once i'm done letting it soak?

Ignore the discrepency in the list. It's a valid code for you. It was probably left out because most 92 Vin L's didn't have an EGR. Most likely, the #3 EGR pintle (partly visible from the outside" has become sticky. It can be cleaned. It's been posted a few times around here how to do it.

The temp sensor in the back of the air box? That's the air intake sensor, not the coolant temp sensor. There are two, one hiding under the TB, and one hiding behind it. One of those two is for the gauge, one for the PCM. I think a scan tool with live data will help by showing you if the PCM temp is ...

i bought a temp sensor sending unit but can't quite find exactly where it taps into the intake? what should i remove to get at it? the engine is warm now so i can't touch it anyways!

so i got some coils coming all 3! just to rule them out. outta curiosity i wanted to try the paper clip code reader and only two codes showed up after they were cleared to the prior monster list. i got 31, and 55. 31 happened earlier but 55 did not BUT 55 is not on the list for "L" vin #'s ...

my 93 bonneville sounds like it is running exactly like yours! I might just get a set of coils and start there i'll keep you posted on my findings

As for the miss, have you checked the coils? Are they that common? I did try a couple used ones from i guy i work with and it didn't cure it but maybe i'll just get a set to rule it out

so i put a new thermostat in 2 months ago and now it won't heat up to 195! sits right around 170-180 maybe even alittle lower! is that the only thing that controls my temp? I know they are cheap so i'm planning to go get another one.

got the exhaust fixed the donut was gone by the manifold. it was determined by my brother that the car was missing on one cylinder! so we pulled plug wires till the tone stayed the same. since the plugs and wires are new we determined it had to be an injector so we replaced the #1 injector, front of ...

There is no relearn necessary for a new PCM. Just make sure it's from a non-supercharged SE with the same final drive ratio and it will be as simple as plugging it in.
