Re: New PB at US 131 Motorsports Park 5-1-15
It's so fun pulling up in the lanes and watching the laughs from tuners, Mustangs, camaros and even some vettes. They are t laughing once my couch beats them to the other end. AWD and turbos make for lots of fun.

New PB at US 131 Motorsports Park 5-1-15
I ran a 12.56 Friday night for a new PB. Last years best was 12.75. Changes from last year are 4X to 4X+, added .075 gallons of E85 to 13 gallons of 93 octane and dropped tire pressures to 25f/26r. I weighed in at 4,505 lbs. this was in my 2011 SHO with a tune only.

Nice run. I'll be out there on the 10th next month for the Livernois Motorsports customer appreciation day. I'm hoping with cool temps to get close to 12.5. My best so far is 12.75 when it was about 80 outside.

Discount tire will break it off for a charge. You can try to find another set with the same key but there are so many it won't be easy.

Escort Passport. I run the 9500ix and love it. The Valentine has a little better range and sensitivity but the GPS false signal lockout on the Escort overcomes that. Mine is always quite unless I need to check my speed for an actual cop. I agree with the above though, you need to back it up by ...

Detailed Moms Ford Edge a few weeks ago
So a few weeks ago I detailed my mom Tuxedo Black Edge for her. This was a Mothers Day/birthday gift for her. She's had it for a year and a half and it has never been hand washed or waxed and was a leased car before she had it. Who knows if it's ever been waxed before. I washed and clayed it then I ...

No videos yet. Only two of us are going together and neither of us want to sit on the sidelines to video. I will try next time if I can get somebody to go with me.

New tune and back to the strip to test it out.
I took the SHO back to the strip. I installed a 3 bar MAP sensor, the new tune, 160 Tstat and one step colder plugs. Last time out my best was 13.23 and this time I got a best of 12.75. Needless to say I'm very impressed with the new tune and 3 bar MAP. well with the $250 bucks it cost for both. I ...

Re: First time at the strip
Thanks guys. I had a blast and I'm sure I will go back again. The strip is only 20 minutes from home and it's only $25 for test and tune nights.

First time at the strip - Update with 2nd time to strip
So I was finally convinced to take my 2011 Taurus SHO TO US 131 dragway last night. It was a fast learning experience and my reaction times were getting better each run. First run was against another member from the ecoboost forum who has a 2013 with the performance package, and he won my 13.2554 to ...

Nope, I left mine at home last year. We rode out to Detroit in a friends 2013 Audi S4 and then met up with another buddy in the GT3.CMNTMXR57 wrote:I thought that was you that showed up with the one SHO in a group of G8's last year.

You will love the extra room the Taurus has with the kids in the back seat. I still miss my GXP but I love my Taurus SHO.

I'll be there in the SHO unless one of my buddies picks up another sweet ride. Last year we were in my buddies 2008 orange Porsche 911 GT3. That was a fun time.

Re: T4xx Trans Family dark side.
I've had both cars for 3 years each. I was very very lucky and had no big problems with either car. I sold the Bonne with 90k and the GP with 75k. Knowing the trans issues the GP IPAs I was a maint freak. I did full trans flush and filter every 20k miles. I also went with an Overkill Motorsports ...

You'll love it. I just picked up a 2011 SHO about 2.5 months ago. Check out the Livernois Motorsports Tune. I am running stage 4 on mine and have been since the second week I have had it. Also check out www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com for lots of good info.

Looks good! I take it that it's AWD? What is the power limit of the stock drivetrain?
AWD yes. Not sure what the limit is but one guy on the Ecobbost Performance forum has a Flex with the same drivetrain and he is pushing 600 HP at the wheels with the stock trans and stock internals on the motor ...
