ZillaMotorsports East is....back?!?!

It's been a long running gag that the West Coasters who based themselves around Wrens Zilla Motorsports pretty much had the Bonneville market cornered to themselves are far as hi-pop mods go, and for a bit it was true. Then Don and I thought *Well, hell...we do the same thing really with junkyard ...

Re: new project for the truck!

Do you happen to have any interior bits left? Once the SSEi is done the Tahoe is getting refurb'd.

It's a solid bar,but only the Addco. Factory bars aren't AFAIK.

Unhooking it actually made mine appear...so your message coming on would tell me your module is bad. Possibly. So many modules on this platform....

Re: unknown driver.

In my experience, the unknown driver message comes from the passenger front window module...at least it did on my '01.

Re: Waking the Dead...2000 SSEi

Decided to wait and save on the Addco 218 bar...it's a 32mm meant for a Deville that'll make the car a hoot on the corners

Speaking of Devilles...I robbed a local one of it's rear rotors and brackets, and a *cough weeze* Grand Prix's modded rear brake lines (stainless braided brake lines ...

Re: Does your wife hate your car?

When it comes to buying a "new" car, no matter what it is, the wife will automatically gravitate toward it, until the next "new" car comes along, then she hates the previous one. She loved driving the Tahoe, then the GXP comes along, suddenly she hates driving the Tahoe, and I hardly get the chance ...

Re: Waking the Dead...2000 SSEi

Don if I ride up there we can't stay for too long. I may be over the bug I had, but I'm far from recovered. In fact that's the only reason I didn't show up yesterday after work. This afternoon I have an appointment with a neurologist to see exactly why the headache isn't going away after a month and ...

Re: Waking the Dead...2000 SSEi

That's about right. Don't need too much to complete the interior...B-pillars mainly, visors, console lid, going to swap in the charcoal steering wheel and column covers, or possibly have my current wheel recovered in some nice real leather I bought some time ago (perforated neutral tan), along with ...

I didn't get to them in time to use...I mean save...them. All I was able to get was the rear console vent (the one everyone seems to forget).

Re: top swap woes tuning questions and so on

It isn't CAN, it's Class II OBD, and there will be VIN issues between the PCM and the BCM. It's the BCM that actually tells the PCM it's okay to start and keep running so long as the two share the same VIN number.

DHP tuners are finicky creatures and like to ONLY communicate with the PCM. Unplug ...

Re: Reproduction Bonneville headlamps

Do the drivers sides lamps have the Bonneville script detailed in the lens like the originals have?
The ones I've seen do not as "Bonneville" is trademarked IIRC.

Do the various aftermarket headlamps have the same quality and appearance of the factory versions?
It's hit and miss at best ...

Re: Waking the Dead...2000 SSEi

If the front bar looks about the same, skip it. All that's left for me to do up front in that regard is to put poly center bushings and it should perform just as well. Not sure how many bolts hold up the rear cradle.

Re: Waking the Dead...2000 SSEi

Planned on getting everything I could suspension-wise, since it's all there. I think the STB may be gone, I didn't pay attention (shame on me).

The interior is charcoal. All the door panels are off of it and were in the car behind it (didn't check to see if they were damaged or not). The seats are ...

Re: Waking the Dead...2000 SSEi

A little more than a month has gone by, and nothing's been done to it. Aside from adding a few more rock chips from the move from Oklahoma that is. Don's been gracious enough to allow the car to stay at his house until our rental home is ready (which should be this week), then I can really start ...

Re: Bought it on a handshake (now with pics!)

*Blows off the dust*

Well, it had been 3 years since I posted this one. During our move from OKC back to Orlando we stopped in Nashville to visit my parents, and so Karen can see where I'm from and meet the parents (which actually went fairly well aside from some family drama that only Don knows ...
