I'm sure a 58 Service Manual would help break it down. I know I have one somewhere but I hav'nt seen it in years. Are you a member of P.O.C.I. (Pontiac Oakland Club International)? They have several group experts for each model that can tell you more than you will ever want to know.
Just a thought.

BAD-SSE IDLE Video?
Does anyone have the link to the video of the Intense BAD-SSE where it is being driven out of the trailer and around the lot to the garage? Actually, it might be the other way around, I cannot remember. All you can hear is the car idleing as it's being moved, (NO MUSIC). I have not seen this video ...

Is'nt this the car with the custom green/white paint by Chip Foose? I'm sure some yahoo who knows nothing about it's history will bid just to have a "Chip Foose" painted car.
Any one ever find a poster of this car? The pictures on the internet are too small to enlarge with quality.

Re: 00+ Bonneville Manufacturer Promotional Video
Thats from one of the videos sent to dealers. I bought a set of 2000 Bonneville VHS Dealer Videos ( 9 ) off ebay 2 years ago. They were a mix of early 1999 promo films of what was comming and then after it's release. A lot of great info. Someday I'll get them transferred to DVD and posted.

Re: Poll : Life expectancy of backseat battery
My 00's original battery (size 79) finally died last April. So, two months shy of 8 years. Partly my fault for letting it sit for 4 months. I started it in March but only let it run for a minute to "check the battery".
Now I have a Duralast Gold.

They do make a kit for the Cad STS from 98-?. Wouldn't that be similar to the 00-05 SSEi. Granted, Northstar vs 3800 6.
There was a guy on youtube a few years ago who put a STS kit on his 00+SSEi and it had a nice healthy sound.

What was the diameter of the stock FE2 rear springs. I have a set of FE3 rears from an 02 Aurora that I was going to swap out. They are 14mm. If the FE2 is also 14mm, I won't bother.

Re: $&%@*$#! Ants in the car!
I would buy some "TERRO" ant killer. and pour a little on a couple of pieces of thick paper. Place them in different spots in the car and let it sit overnight. When I have ants in the house, I put out the TERRO and if I saw 10 ants before, I'll see 70 within a couple of hours. Then the next day ...

Re: Long-term wax test
I'm also a die hard fan of Liquid Glass. I've been using it since 1983 . I think it was one of the first advertisers in HP Pontiac magazine. Back when I was driving my 73 GP, I used a rotory (not orbital) buffer/polisher with a slightly moist pad to apply it after buffing the car out with Pro ...
