Exactly the problem my wife had with my 2005 GXP, while In FL a number of years ago. Eventually, the temp gauge kept failing regularly, and then the fuel gauge started fluctuating. Last year had the entire cluster replaced, unfortunately outside the warranty. All has been well since then.

My temp gauge is buried to the right many times, but there is no overheating. Sometimes it reads normal but not lately. Problem has been intermittent for over a year and now is much worse.
