I didn't tell anyone until after you knew about it. Didn't want to ruin the surprise.

It's a good thing. And I've been excited for this for a few weeks.

Re: Sell or Not - 2005 Pontiac Bonneville GXP
A plus side to Cars and Bids is that it's mostly enthusiasts looking at the cars for sale and it may be somebody that knows a lot about the car already. And I think you could potentially get more money for it given the crazy used car marked we're in right now.

Re: Cruising Tigers annual Indian Uprising 2021 August 6-8,
I don't know if I'm going to make it to Indian uprising, had to get a compressor for the GTO. Depending on when it shows up I might be able to come for just Saturday. I will for sure be at Woodward though. I took the whole weekend off for that.

Re: Will Chinese Firms Start Making Bonneville Exterior Part
One thing missing here is that the Chinese like space and they get long wheelbase versions of cars. They sold the long wheelbase version of the Town Car in China. Which is probably why they make them since there is a good deal of them floating around over there.

Re: Triplets? Bonneville v Audi A8 v BMW 840
I not sure if anyone who is shopping for the BMW or Audi is also going to be looking at a 21 year old bonneville as well, especially just based off the dimensions and cost to purchase. It's kind of like comparing a Golf R to a Yugo. Sure they are both hatchbacks, but they aren't even on the same ...

Re: Project leather seats
Car is out and seats look good. The stitching on the seats matches the shifter boot pretty well.

Re: Ryan did a thing
I took this thing on its first long trip this past week and it did pretty good. I was lucky to get tickets for Cleetus McFarland's Freedom 500 and Cleetus and cars at his racetrack in Bradenton Florida. That's 1250 miles from home. On the way back I made a couple detours to Daytona beach and tail of ...

Re: Project leather seats
I put the seats back in the car. Tried to get pictures but it was too dark where the car is. I will however update with finished pictures next week when I bring the car out for the season.

They took about a month and were initially quick to reply but I never got a shipping confirmation. They just showed up the other day.

Project leather seats
So as some here have seen, my GTO suffers from the infamous splitting of the seat seams. As the cars age and are exposed to the sun the leather shrinks and the seams split, exposing the foam inside and just looks bad. After looking around at potential options for new seats including Recaros from an ...

There was a time I had to transport a ladder with the old passat. I stuck it out the sunroof.

Used the wagon for wagon things, fits the gto seats nicely so I can do something cool with them....which I'll put in another thread once I get that done.

Re: Supercharger Coupler: Khaos Motorsports vs ZZP Peformanc
Personally I've never heard of them, but at that price you can't really go wrong. You would just be out the labor if it doesn't work out. It used to be between ZZP and Intense for these kind of things, but I've been out of the 3800 game for a while now.
Here is the Intense one although it's a ...

Re: Ryan did a thing
I wasn't expecting another update so soon but the rear pads started making noise. Sure enough they had reached the wear indicators. I was able to change them pretty fast. This car has an electric parking brake you can retract with an app called OBDeleven. That means no more twist in calipers which I ...

So I finally got the tool to do the axle. Had to borrow one from Matt since the one I ordered hasn't come in yet. Took me less than an hour to swap it out.

No but what I'm doing probably used to wear a cow bell.
Ceramic coating is Avalon king. Very easy to use and it seems to last a while.
