Re: radar detectors
they use the x around here but not as much as ka. i was surprised in georgia at how close you get before they hit you with the x. had plenty of time to slow down when i saw them sitting. still funny to see ten cars hitting the brakes pretty good when they see them sitting there at the last second ...

Re: radar detectors
the escort worked great on our trip to florida. do get a few false warnings in urban areas but it worked great on the open highway. even saved me a possible ticket on one occasion. still was nervous going thru ohio. those frickers like to turn their radar on at the last second when they are going ...

Re: radar detectors
Looking on cl I only found an 8500 for $175 so far. Not looking to set any speed records to florida. Just want a heads up if the boys are watching. I will keep looking and see if I find one at a decent price. Haven't checked ebay yet but I would hate to buy one and not get it before we go. Lol

radar detectors
we are going to be driving from michigan to florida and back at the end of this month and i was thinking about getting a radar detector for the trip. any models you guys recomend ? i do NOT want to spend 3 or 4 hundred bucks for one. just a decent one that will work in MOST situations.

Re: my bonnevilles replacement
Why only a lease? That thing is sweet!
well if gas prices skyrocket i will only have to keep it for 3 years. i could have bought it for $25,000 out the door. i can still buy it at the end of the lease for $14,500. which is still cheap for that truck with 36,000 miles or less. the sticker price ...

prep-sol is a a wax and grease remover used to clean paint before sanding to remove crapola. also before prime or paint. even the oil from your fingerprints is a no no before paint.
