Moin, Moin,
I'm very grateful for the tip about the ignition. Since I had a clear spark from each plug, I didn't anticipate that it might be too weak. (The wires and spark plugs are quite new.) That was rarely a problem with my German cars.
I'm very lucky (or unlucky) to own a 94' Prontiac Trans ...

1991 SSE engine Problems
Moin, Moin,
Unfortunately, I'm having problems with my Bonnie, again. I have no experience with the 3.8L engine, and in Germany, there's no repair shop that's familiar with them.
When the engine is cold, it runs well, with all cylinders.
When the engine warms up, it sputters, and it is running on ...

Missing data of capacitys (A/C)
Moin, Moin,
My A/C is not working.
because I do not have a clue of A/C I went to a Bosch-Service. I have (minimum) two issues:
First: They found out that at minimum a valve is broken.
Second: There is no documentation of the capacitys.
Connectors are R12. But I have no sticker under the ...

Re: Bypass the AC Compressor
Moin, Moin,
Thats it.
The link helped with the part no of the belt.
Converted to the system outside of america:
it is a 6PK1845 that works. 1845mm is 72.63 inch
But a 73.25 schould be ok, too. The extesioner has a huge range
Thanks a lot

Bypass the AC Compressor (solved)
Moin, Moin,
On my 1993 3.8 Pontiac Trans Sport the compressor clutch is gone.
It really does not sound very well. So for security reasons, I do not want to drive it, but it is my only car with a towhook.
Spares take to long from States to Germany.
Is there a chance to bypass the belt? (There is a ...

There is nothing more annoying than having water in the car.
Removing the c-pillar trim only does not work
I removed some of the plastics, the clips were working pretty good for 30 years.
They were so tight, that I broke one trim part. But nobody will see it...

Re: Vent is running constantly
Moin, Moin,
You were 100% right. It was the mentioned control unit. Thanks alot. You saved me a lot of time.
Even with a photo of the location
Beside I'm happy that the problem is solved that easy.
I'm a little bit worries, that the vent blower seems not to be secured with a fuse.
Thanks Mike

Moin, Moin,
Yesterday I tryied to open the c-pillar. But how to do it without breaking it? In my TS all plasic parts are bold on, easy to remove. I didn't find any screws, or even a way to start deesembling. Everything is quite tight and make cracking noises if I try to pull it off.

Well Nürburgring or "The Green Hell" .
Driving there needs you and your car needs to be in exellent condition. And it is super stress for the material and driver. If you have a accident, no insurence care, even it was not your fault.

Re: 1987 VW Scirocco
Once you drove one, your soft spot turns into a strong wish to have it. Combination weight, small wheelbase, low center of gravity let you feel like been sucked to the street. Specally the 16V is a killer.
Corrado is super nice too. But in general to chubby. It is ~1500kg. And the VR6 engine has ...

Re: 1994 Pontiac Trans Sport in Germany
Headlights are a big issue, specally in Germany.
On the one hand: The US standart is crap, so even in the 80s it was not allowed to drive with US-standart.
On the other hand: You got your sealed beam... So european cars needed to be converted to.
I really like american cars and I'm ok with almost ...

You are welcome. In Germany I'm a freak because a like the 90s US cars. In states I'm a freak because I have the "bread and butter" cars but they are very special in Europe.
Funny thing how they have EU and US specs. In general. Counts also for German cars in the US market.

One of my other rides:
1987 VW Scirocco GTX
It is one of the most agile cars I know, even as stock version.
700kg and the 1.8L 140hp engine are a good combination
But the best thing is the super low point of gravity.
With some mods it is quite badass.

Moin, Moin,
My sunroof dains seems to be clogged or broken. I have a wet passenger backseat. The headliner and the c-pillar trim are also affected.
Is there any easy way to repair/clean them. Or do I have to take everything apart?
Regards

Vent is running constantly (solved)
Moin, Moin,
I have a new problem with my Bonnie.
The interior ventilation runs at full strength, no matter what I do:
I can change whatever I want on the control panel, direction, temperature, everything works except the ventilation.
I can remove the fuse (#15): the ventilation is running.
