This sounds a lot worse taken out of context! Lol.

Happy to see Penny chugging along. My '03 SSEi is still getting me places and I love it. Really going to miss it someday.

Someone yelled "Do a Flip!"

Shame. Looked like it was very well taken care of beforehand.

Yeah, mine was a coil pack issue when something similar happened. Most expensive ignition piece would be the ICM (Ignition Control Module), so I'd start with the cheap stuff first. Lol.

No it isn't.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Passenger strut/spring/mount/bellows replaced today. Car feels better at highway speed. Took away maybe 75% of the pesky vibration I've been chasing. I think the old driver's strut was toast. Might go get a road force wheel/tire balance soon and see if that solves it completely.

Also installed a ...

Driver's strut/spring/mount/bellows replaced today. That was fun. Managed to get through it though.

Tomorrow it's the passenger side! Then we'll see how she feels afterwards. Fingers crossed the vibration is gone. The old strut was toast so I'm hoping that was contributing to the issue.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Installed rear springs last week. This week I was about to change out the front suspension and realized during the time my cart at RockAuto was sitting there with the items in it, they sold out of the bellows for the struts and therefore didn't send any when I finally placed the order. D'oh!

They ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

I opened the hood and took a look at what I'd need to move out of the way to get the pulley off of the supercharger. Looks like the accessory belt, the coolant tank, and one of the A/C lines can be unhooked and shifted a little to make room for the puller/installer.

Because...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Played around with PlastiDip on the rear bumper of the Bonneville. I can't mess up the paint any more than it already is. Lol.

I also bent the front driver's fender back out as the door was catching it again. Weirdest thing how that's happened twice now, but oh well. It clears now. Ready for a ...

Put the ZZP coupler on the supercharger and put in fresh supercharger oil.

I want it to be ready when my order from Intense Racing gets here. (If it ever does. Been waiting almost 2 months now.)

Re: Cowl Hood

I always feel like the hood is missing a little something and that treatment on the white Bonneville looks amazing. Reminds me of the ram air Grand Ams they made around the same time.

I also wouldn't be opposed to some vents instead, like on the SLP Firehawk hoods.

The only thing standing in the ...

Replaced the Bypass Actuator on the Bonneville and got my supercharger back. It's been a few months just running on the N/A engine. I forgot how nice and fast it actually is. Lol.

Re: 2000 SSEi Drivability issues

Hey, your fuel pressure fix is great news. I know it didn't solve the issue you're hunting, but it's nice to see a concrete result.

I very much doubt a small vacuum leak at the EGR would cause the issue you're describing while driving at speed. It would more likely result in a rough idle, which ...

Re: 2000 SSEi Drivability issues

I believe it should be closer to 50psi. There's a range, but I believe it starts in the high 40s, not the high 30s.

Could be either one. I imagine the regulator is easier to change out than the pump, but our cars do have a hatch to access it in the trunk. Or at least mine does.

I'd guess pump ...
