Thanks!

Stuck in defrost

I had my air set to defrost this morning, and now it is stuck. When I turn the control knob to any different setting it stays in defrost mode. I'm also still working on that problem with the fan speed controls. I haven't figured out why I only have the two middle fan speeds. Anyone have any ideas?

Need a wiring diagram for a 1997 SE

I finally got around to replacing the dieing fuel pump in my '97 Bonnie. After we got the pump and tank all put back into place we tried to start it up to check for leaks. We had a few, but managed to recheck all the fittings and got them all tight and pretty. Now the car will not run, the power ...

Fan controls not working correctly

I'm trying to work out all the kinks in this '97 Bonneville I just bought a few weeks ago. This forum has been a great help, so here goes the next issue. The fan controls for the air and heat only work on the middle two settings. Low and hight give me nothing, but the two settings that do work give ...

Re: Keyless Entry on a 97 SE

Thanks for all your help! I found the codes, AU0 and 1SC so we're good! Just got to get a new remote.

Re: Keyless Entry on a 97 SE

I have looked for this elusive AUO RPO code and cannot locate it. You guys know where it is normally located?

Re: Strange humming noise!

OK, I just went out and checked a few things. I turned the key on but didn't start the engine. I hear the noise for a few seconds and stops. Once I start the engine, the humming returns and is constant. I don't have the inflatable suspension, so that is ruled out. It also rules out wheel bearing ...

Keyless Entry on a 97 SE

I just bought my 97 SE a few days ago. The previous owner told me he thought the car has keyless entry, but he was never able to get it to work. Is there a way to check if the car has the keyless entry feature? He did give me a remote that he thinks goes with the car. It is obvious that the remote ...

Re: Strange humming noise!

I will have to check again to make sure, but I'm fairly certain the noise starts when the car is started, and is constant. The rear defrost is the only thing I am aware of as of yet that makes the noise change pitch. I will drive it some more tomorrow and get a better sense for what is happening ...

Strange humming noise!

Hi, I am a new member as well as a new Bonneville owner. I noticed shortly after I purchased the vehicle that it has a rather loud humming noise coming from somewhere either behind the back seat or under the car. I don't think it's engine related since it does not change pitch when the accelerator ...

New from Kansas

Hi, I just bought my first Bonneville the other day. It's a '97 SE, dark green in color. Haven't had him/her long enough for a name, but I do name my vehicles too! It's got 197k miles and still runs strong! I have two small children so it'll be a baby-hauler for a while, but that doesn't take away ...
