Re: The long awaited arrival of the one and only BonnSSEI_La

Ross Perot is/was a nut case.
There was an ulterior motive for the release of those hostages. The "bad people" who had them wanted said nut case to look good and be crowned "Top Dog" here. I wonder why?

Re: Paint job pics

Thanks guys. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I wetsanded clear coat scratches out of the hood, trunk, and roof with 3000 grit trimac then polished with swirl remover too. Some show car glaze and 2 coats of Ultimate. Like brand new now.
I did the fuel door(had a few very minor bubbles ...

Paint job pics

Here's a few front bumper pics. I repainted it due to scratches/stone chips, etc. It was done with rattle cans. The clear, SprayMax 2K Glamour High Gloss, with its adjustable tip and sprays like a gun, has an activated hardener, and gives professional results for a fraction of the cost. The reviews ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Fixed a few scratches and rock chips in my front bumper and a small gouge in my rear bumper. 4 coats of 534F, 4 coats of clear with a hardener. Did the same with a few bubbles in the paint that had started under the fuel door. Did the whole front bumper.
Then I wet sanded the scratches in the clear ...

Re: PCM Tune

Just to elaborate on my confidence and self assuredness, 90% of it is learning the software. I taught myself computers back in the day when processors of 350mh were kick a$$. I was good enough in no time to get a job as a techie at the local computer shop with absolutely 0 formal training.
Part of ...

Re: PCM Tune

I'm not knew to tuning PCMs by any means. If I can figure out CAT ET and do big trucks even injector trim codes, and on my $60,0000 truck I made a living with, I think I can figure out how to change a few parameters on my car. But thanks for the warning.
I know enough people around here that don't ...

Maybe buying hp tuners would be a good idea since no one around here has it. Pay for itself in no time I bet.

Edited Cuz I don't think you're capable of even grasping what's be8ng said. I could care less what you paid and my assumption was a statement. I'm sure that's over your head too.

Re: Aggressive sounding exhaust on extremely tight budget

Well all that is a no brainer.I am taking it in the shop after I get paid this week, probably throw a tune up on it,but will do the oil change myself,it does have new tires and brakes.it does have a slight wobble at about 75mph,but not so bad as I wouldn't drive it at that speed.I paid very little ...

Re: Aggressive sounding exhaust on extremely tight budget

Never gonna happen with these motors. You're wasting your time and money and will just sound stupid. If you want a tough sound buy an 8 cylinder. If you're on an extremely tight budget you not gonna have a tough sounding ride period.
You just bought a 1998 with a 170,000 miles from a dealer with no ...

Re: PCM Tune

Yeah that's really all I'm looking for. I might just skip the rockers. We'll see. I'm not looking for numbers at the track and it runs so *dang* good now. The Trans tune and keep it and the motor cool as possible with fan settings.
I run 91 octane from BP now. Seems to like it better than 87.

Re: PCM Tune

I'm not looking for power so much as better driveability like the Trans tune really. Better throttle response. That sort of thing.
I've got the Intense FWI, 180° thermostat, and the Transgo Shift Kit is going in when i get around to it. Are there fan settings that would make sense? Timing? That ...

PCM Tune

What parameters would I want to tweak for a daily driver. Not looking to wind the snot out of it all the time so I'm thinking shift points are probably fine stock. I can always shift manually if i want.
Just wondering what I can do to make it the best it can be without going crazy and I'm not ...

Re: Removing headlight assembly

Well I was removing the plastic wheel well liner on one side anyway to install my FWI. I just removed both sides and sprayed some pb blaster on them and let them sit a half hour. They came out a little easier. I cleaned them up good and shot them again before reinstalling.
