Thanks 95naSTA. This boxy, old eldo fits right in there with the Nissan Cube and the square Scion.
Mattstrike: Yup, outside has style queues from the early '80s Pontiac 6000. I was washing the shag carpet and was wondering where I could get a hold of matching shag floor mats. Well what do you know ...

Re: Bye to Bonnie Hello to Eldo
Thanks 96 and Nos. What drew me to this car was that it had the Pacific body kit from Huntington, CA on it. Back in '88, the dealer sent a base eldo to B&G Customs to have the canvas top, ASC sunroof and the fiberglass ground effects kit installed (plus the wonderful Gold Edition package...meaning ...

Bye to Bonnie Hello to Eldo
I sold my '90 SSE. A big thank you to the help that members of this forum provided me over the last few years of ownership. I picked up an old '88 Eldo and did some work over the winter and spring. Here's a few pics and thanks again. I am sure I will be in another Pontiac in the future.

Reddish Pink Break Dust
I have a strange thing going on with my 2000 Eldo. The right rear wheel is coated with a fine reddish pink powder. I assume it is brake dust from the semi-metallic pads. Two things confuse me:
1) Why is it only happening on the right rear?
2) Why after changing discs and pads (semi-metallic) all ...

bugsi: Thanks. I know what you mean about the drilled/slotted rotors but I like the looks. Like you, I am upgrading the sound system. I put Infinity Kappas in the doors. I have Pioneers in the dash and rear deck. My plan is to put Infinitys all around. I have a Clarion deck and a Rockford Fosgate 12 ...

Solved Remote Door Look Issue
Well I got my doors to lock and unlock using a key fob. To accomplish this, I had a new Viper remote starter w/the door package installed after failing to get the OEM system to work on my '90 SSE. It is so nice to not have to mess with keys to open a locked door and I live in cold MI so the remote ...

Thanks for throwing this idea out there. Let me know the dates. If I am in town, I will be there. I am just getting ready to meet Dr. Ru, drrupinstriping.com, at the body shop to hand paint pinstripes on the old Bonnie. I'll post pics once I get her back.

Thanks. That is great news. I think they run a good yard. Their prices are fair. I wish they would open one in Pontiac.

haro1225: You don't own anything old enough to go to PG. I love that place. I've been to their yard on Warren Ave and the yard in Flat Rock. I drive by that one every week so I stop there often. I really don't like that one as it is small. Oh well, I figure I would post the pics one the chance ...

okay, the link worked. Here's a few pics of the 2 bonnies I found in the 8 mile (yup, the same one made famous by Eminem's movie just a few miles from the trailer park and a house where he lived. he even went to the same high school as me but many years later). the sse has seen better days but the ...

 After doing a lot of work, I got my '90 Bonnie SSE looking and running good. The cruise wouldn't work so I installed a new combination lever and still no cruise. I then salvaged/installed a cruise control module...still not cruising. Last night I installed a salvaged servo, got on the ...

Thanks. I'm not as knowledgeable and/or capable as many members of this forum but I enjoy taking something old and improving on it. I did the following mechanicals:
front strut assemblies
front rotors/pads
rear air shocks
rear drums and pads
plugs, wires, oil, air filter, pcv, IAC, serpentine belt ...

The resurrection of Bonnie, my winter project
Hi, last November I found a pretty rough looking 1990 Bonneville SSE. My neighbor winters in FL so I borrowed his garage and did a poor man's restoration of sorts (the body work was outsourced). It's my daily driver now. She runs pretty good. Hope you enjoy the photo journey.
