Re: 1970 impala custom coupe
So I been contacting the owner for the impala trying to sort out details. I got the vin and looked into it all but shortly after he sent me the bin he told me no test drive. He told me he had someone that would pay twice as much with no test drive. So the fact that I have no personal relation with ...

Re: 1970 impala custom coupe
Btw does anyone have any idea if there's a way to verify its a 454 and not a smaller displacement? I don't think there is at least I've never heard of any way but I figured I'd ask the stupid question just to make sure. Also how would I be able to verify if it's a th400 and not a different trans? I ...

Re: 1970 impala custom coupe
Thank you for fixing the images. I wasn't able to get it to work the way you did.
As far as body I did a walk around along the bottom of doors and fenders and knocked along them. I Am almost positive that there's none. And if there is it would be very small amounts. Body panels all lined up very ...

Re: Hard starting only sometimes
Check for fuel leak or if you have the tools check your fuel oressure. My 99 was having occasional hard starts until I replaced a section of fuel line that had a pin hole leak.

Re: Steering Issue – Rapid Jerk in a corner
I had a 2001 gtp for a while and that had this exact issue. Things I know we're bad were the tie rods and the rack leaked pretty bad. Things you could think of would be when you put the new rack in did everything look very solid with nothing loose. I'd be putting my money towards a rack issue. The ...

Would you want to check shipping to 53404??? I need the lines from tank to filter and possibly could just take all of it off your hands if shipping is decent. I have a 99

Re: Frame bolts clunking?
Yea I drove passed the Georgie porgies meet every time I work Saturdays but have not went personally. They always look like they have a good turn out. That's the McDonald's I thought it was too. I am thinking about trying to go to a few but had a hard summer of work and not enough time on the cars ...

Re: Frame bolts clunking?
I did not know that Roma had one. I know Georgie porgies has a small one I think every Saturday but that's milwaukee and I thought there's a McDonald's somewhere that does one too. Wonder if there's been a thread started for SE WI members.

Re: Frame bolts clunking?
lol they're quite a lot of work. But most of what I've replaced on mine have stayed good fixes and not a repeat offender. My Dorman oarts went right in no issues. I replaced 4 instead of 6. The 2 front and 2 middle positions. The farthest back were actually the good ones. The front took a little ...

Re: Frame bolts clunking?
That's what I said. Haha I've got plenty of work to do on both of mine but who doesn't. Haha
I'll be getting the oreilley Dorman parts and I'll be heading to my fiancées dads garage. He's gonna let me use a lift and everything I need. I'll let you know how mine goes. Should have it done today.

Re: Shaking and clunking
See and that's my worrying. I am worried that these Dorman parts won't even fit. I was on another thread on this topic and someone from the town I'm in just ordered those exact pn from Dorman so if he has good luck maybe I will. I'll be going to the parts store locally to get mine which I'll have to ...

Re: Frame bolts clunking?
According to the reviews they got a 98 lesabre which is nearly identical underneath iirc and the review said that only thing that won't work is bolt which they put the threads are different. I tried ordering them and said that even with one day shipping which was 60$ it wouldn't be here until Monday ...
