Noticed all of the pictures were removed. I rehosted them on imgur. Here's the link to the album.

2000 Bonneville SE Sun Shade Fix

Well as part of a mini project to fix my headliner that is falling down, I removed the fabric from the sunroof shade cover (or whatever you want to call it). The entire piece of fabric was beginning to fall down and it made sliding the cover increasingly difficult so I decided to just remove all of ...

Re: Factory Radio Setup in a house?

The light was not burnt out like I thought it was, it's just as it was before..

Thanks Haro, pushing Volume, Seek Up, and 5 at the same time did unlock it for a few seconds, and the speaker make a buzzing sound so I know everything works.

What are the ways to unlock a factory radio? Is the only ...

Re: Factory Radio Setup in a house?

Okay.... I'm the 3rd owner of the car, so I don't know if it ever had a code placed in it..

If the theft light was blinking, i'm going to guess that means that the a code was put in at one point?

My other main question.... If there isn't a security set up on it, why can't I play music or listen ...

Re: Factory Radio Setup in a house?

So what you are saying is that i'm basically at a lost cause?

Oh, and I might of accidentally blown the light on the display out... opps.

It already had 1 light out, and with my tinkering, I heard a pop, and now the display is much darker than before... :banghead:

Factory Radio Setup in a house?

Hey guys,

I just recently installed an aftermarket radio and everything works well with that, but I was wondering what to do with my factory radio now...

I've seen people use aftermarket radios and a computer power supply to run speakers in there houses before. Currently I have a 250 watt, 14 Amp ...

Re: Headliner Replacement- Ideas besides new foam roof

Yeah, I was thinking carbon fiber also, but I think I actually want to match it with the dark gray of the plastic trim panel around the gauges and radio.

My dad's '96 bonneville has dropped almost completely off... Maybe i'll through some pictures on here for a laugh..

Here's that tutorial if you ...

Re: Headliner Replacement- Ideas besides new foam roof

Ok, thanks for the suggestions.. I didn't want to do anything crazy, like leather or some fabric with a repeating design on it, just maybe something that would grab your attention more than a normal tan headliner.

I'm leaning towards keeping it factory color, but I didn't know what other people ...

Headliner Replacement- Ideas besides new foam roof

Well like every Bonneville put there, my headliner is starting to sag. I am have read plenty of threads on how to replace the headliner with a new foam one, but I was just curious on what other kind of options do I have?

I mean, is there anything besides a foam fabric that I can replace the old ...

Re: 2000 Bonneville SE Audio Upgrade ~Pictures Added, Finish

I did go just slightly overboard on cutting out the plastic, but I figured it would only help me out. I was having problems trying to fit all of those wires, and the chimes box, all in that tight area. Not to mention get the radio to fit nicely behind the trim.

If I could do this project again, I ...

Re: Gas tank

Most I ever put in was 19.078 gallons in a "18.5 gallon tank".... Filler tube I guess... lol.

But as far as a warning, my gauge said I was on full. The gauge stops working once I get under a half a tank, so I always go by how many miles on my trip. No big deal.

Re: Can u recommend an easy & practical head unit for our 20

I also recommend just buying a repaired or a used factory radio. I just changed my 2000 bonneville factory radio out for a double din head unit and this required a lot of dremeling in the radio compartment to fit the new unit. I think I spent about 4 hours removing plastic and shop vac-ing it out ...

I followed the tutorial mentioned above and everything worked out.

Here's my post, that will help you with the physical aspect of what is needed to be done in order to get a double din radio to work..

Re: 2000 Bonneville SE Audio Upgrade ~Pictures Added, Finish

Thanks for the compliment...

Right now the radio isn't secured by anything but the trim around it, so that is the only thing left I have to adjust. I was thinking about just putting some pressure on the back of the radio to make it tight and center on the trim, and that would about be perfect ...

Okay, I ended up buying a package from Sonic Electronix and it worked out just fine. I'm happy.

@bobgto65, thanks for clarifying what adapter I need.

I got a Clarion CX501 (head unit), American International GM-K422 (double din bracket), PAC C2R-GM32R (ribbon adapter & chimes)....

I had to ...

2000 Bonneville SE Audio Upgrade ~Pictures Added, Finished~

I have a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SE with a 6 speaker setup, including the tweeters on the front doors. My first question is if I am purchasing a new radio receiver, would I need to get a 6 channel output to hear everything perfectly?

Also, this car just confuses me. Is there a stereo amp in the car ...
