Re: Throttle body coolant tubes for a 1990 SSE
That's one of the tubes, the other one is right behind the first one. If anyone is trying to salvage those tubes, be careful when removing them. One of the tube ends snapped cleanly off when the salvage yard removed them and I didn't even notice it until I got it home. The tube looked intact until I ...
Seafoam
I have a slight miss in my motor. I've heard seafoam is better than deep fried gold.
Questions:
- Is this true?
- how does it work?
- Can I use it with synthetic oil?

Re: Throttle body coolant tubes for a 1990 SSE
I looked through all the salvage yards, but all the throttle bodies were on shelves with no lines. Until I found two yards out in the boonies with enough acreage to just stockpile the cars until the parts are called for. One salvage yard was no-go but the other had a 1990 Buick LeSabre, bada-bing ...

That sucks, but I guess that's my next step. Thanks for checking it out for me. Junkyards here I come. This is the best site ever, I would be still stuck on step one in bringing this great old car back to life.

Re: Throttle body coolant tubes for a 1990 SSE
These lines are actually metal, not rubber. One of them has a two hole flange. Does that make a difference?

Re: Throttle body coolant tubes for a 1990 SSE
There are two lines from the throttle body, both are 3/8 with 90 degree bends. One of the lines has a two hole flange. I'm hoping somebody knows what the actual names for those parts are and where I can get them.

Throttle body coolant tubes for a 1990 SSE
I put a used low mileage motor in my 1990 bonnie SSE. All went well except I need to replace the two throttle body coolant tubes. I can't seem to find them at my neighborhood parts store. Can anybody give me some direction?

Motor mount question
I'm changing the motor in my 1990 SSE. My mechanic only has a limited amount of time and would like to have the new mounts on hand. The problem is there are a lot of different mounts for that model according to my parts guy. Is there a way to tell which mounts to order? Is it listed in the codes ...

Re: Anyone in the long island ny area
There is another thread on this site from someone else. This other thread breaks it down pretty well with more photos. It's not that complicated but time consuming. Take your time.

Re: Anyone in the long island ny area
There is a Jo-anne's in the same shopping center as bed bath and beyond in Babylon on Montauk Highway. I won't be around on Saturday but I will be around Sunday afternoon. I have a few pictures in galleries on this site. Search the galleries under pocolocobob. Keep in mind I am just starting to work ...

- headliner adhesive spray from pep boys $12.99
- headliner fabric from jo-anne's fabric & craft store (2 yards 14.99 each) $30.00

Another thing is that the car sat without starting for six years. My dumb question is how does that cause my problems?

Re: 193,000 miles and can't build up oil pressure
Diminished pickup and a ticking from the engine. I just tried running it without the belt for a few seconds to see if the clicking is from the motor, it was.

193,000 miles and can't build up oil pressure
I have a 1990 bonnie with193,000 miles and can't build up oil pressure. Anybody know if there anything I can do before I just change the motor? I'm just going by the dash gauge, and I don't have the greatest pick up either.
