my mod poll

ok so now that i have my entire ignition system brand new i am trying to decide what mod i should go with next

the very next thing i will do is probably gonna be a shift kit since i am planning to do a fluid and filter change in the near future and i figure that i wont want to have that pan off again

keep in mind this is a daily driver that sees lots of miles

feel free to suggest any mods that i haven't thought of yet

i do eventually want to put on a mps with maybe a 3.5 or 3.4 pulley but that will be later when the car already has these supporting mods

The FWI would be my starting point. I've even gained a few MPG with mine, on an L36.

#1 will get you a really nice sound
#2 is probably a great idea depending on how many miles you have on your car, it can make a huge difference in ride quality
#3 is by far the best choice for performance
personally, if i was going for performance, i would gut the airbox and go with #3

Definitely start with the FWI to get the ball rolling, in my opinion. I haven't even gotten around to it yet still doing preventative maintenance and repairs on my ride at the moment, but that will definitely be the first thing I start off with or the Intense Perf Package 1 or 2.

does anybody know how gas millage would be affected? i assume that it would improve it...

If you can keep out of the gas, usually opening up the exhaust or intake will improve performance as well as efficiency.. but it also gives you the ability to flow more air, and consequently more fuel.

do you have to get a ported tops crossover pipe to take advantage of the p-log/pems?

or is the stock crossover big enough already?

there's really no way to port the crossover. it's fine for a plog/pems

the only problem i am seeing is that once you add the ported rear in the price jumps alot. to get a ss front and just a regular rear is about $300.00 i figure that i don't need a ss rear since you can't even see the dang thing anyways

the rear EM actually flows pretty well, most of the improvement is the front.

i read that you have to skew the fuel 2% to the front if you only change the front as i don't have access to a scanner that would be an extra cost

you can get the cheap headers OBX/SSA for cheaper than a set of PEM's

swampthing,

Honest question: in the end, how far do you see yourself going with modding, and how much could you see yourself spending?

Also, do you have anything not already listed in your sig?

These answers will impact my answer as to suggesting what mods and in what order

good question. I plan on doing most of these at some point I have to save for whatever I decide to get I don't plan on spending thousands of dollars on go fast mods but I would like to put a smaller pulley on and tune the pcm eventually when I have all my mods in order.

and no I don't have any performance mods that aren't in my sig

thanx for taking the time to ask I appreciate it a lot

EDIT I forgot my new igniton stuff isn't it my sig I have brand new ngk tr55's, napa beldin wires, and msd coils

Look at the Poll results to see your next mod.
It's unanimous so far.

Of those mods, the one that will give the most immediate change to your enjoyment of the car is the STB, so I voted for that :)

As to the listed engine mods, I would vote for the intake.
