The comments are funny. Some yahoo is trying to compare a Chrysler 3.5 24v SOHC V6 which makes like 250hp to a OHV (Note I said that) L67. Comparing a OHC to a OHV is apples to oranges. For starters, a OHC can rev more freely, as well has having 24 valves compared to the L67's 12. Also the HP & torque curves are completely different. The Chrysler 3.5 is 253-255 hp @ 6500 rpm and 250 ft·lb of torque at 4000 rpm, while the L67 is 240 hp@5200 rpm and 280 ft lbs@3600 Rpms.

That's a very interesting video. I didn't know the 00+ ones were designed to be bigger. That car looked excellent in the video! Is that the only footage we have of a Bonneville at an oval race track?

They're a wee bit right about 240 being too low for the car. I'd like to see about 400 at least.

Thats from one of the videos sent to dealers. I bought a set of 2000 Bonneville VHS Dealer Videos ( 9 ) off ebay 2 years ago. They were a mix of early 1999 promo films of what was comming and then after it's release. A lot of great info. Someday I'll get them transferred to DVD and posted.
