High Fuel Tank Pressure?

Last night I experienced what sounds like my gas tank expanding, making metal "popping" noises. I stopped to fill up and upon unscrewing the gas cap, there was an absurd amount of pressure that was relieved. It hissed for a good 2-3 seconds, which it's never done before.

I just had the fuel pump replaced about 1000 miles ago, and since I have this new job with a company truck to take home, I maybe drive my car 300 miles a month, usually just on the weekends.

Also, my CEL is on, haven't had it scanned yet.

No driveablity issues, everything seems normal.
